Makes you wonder if there is any historical cases from his time at school when pupils were too afraid to come forward and report him.
Clayton; had his office next to Royal House dining room. Only one I got the cane off. It used to be like a scene from Kes outside his office.
Did I miss a video somewhere? I left in 64 and that may have been before Auld started. Got caned by Woodcock and Fisher in the same afternoon and I hadn’t done owt to deserve it. Decided me to leave as soon as I could. Ruined my education in one afternoon.
Regarding the Video I have missed it as well - quick google doesnt show anything relevant Was Woodcock a Tech Drawing teacher - if its who I think he used to hang his cane up behind him and our first lesson he whacked it on the desk - I dont think he actually used it in the class though we were all terrified of him and were on best behaviour. Dont remember Fisher he must have been before my time For sure times have changed a bit from when we were at school where beatings from the staff were seen as totally fine
Fisher was tech drawing, can’t remember what Woodcock taught, but he was certainly a bully. I look at my grandkids at 15 and I can’t imagine them getting the treatment that we had to put up with. Nor can I imagine them going out to work like I did at their age..
It’s doing the rounds on Facebook. One of those vigilante groups that look for that sort of thing and then film the outcome.
She was a strange one always dragged a little shopping cart after her. I remember a piece of graffiti on the wall outside her class room declaring “Fanny is a Devon Pros”. Could never understand why nobody got rid of it. Strange the things you remember.
Used to whip our arses in the showers and told me l wasn't good enough for A Levels... l went on to get a degree. Never liked him.
