Lol exactly we get billionaires who said from start we won't chucking money at it and will follow previous owner model but improve it
I certainly agree with you about abuse & addressing people in a polite way , as they say curtesy costs nothing & I would certainly not reply sarcastically using capital letters on certain words to emphasise my point .
Two points that seem to often get overlooked. They acquired the club and had circa £5.6m cash in the business at the outset (largely thanks to £12.5m of player trading profits from the previous season). They also had the benefit of significant balance sheet strength (over £9m) thanks to Patricks writing off of loans to equity in the share premium reserve. For those wanting them to "prime the pump"... it was primed. They've effectively taken much of that £5.6m cash and aside from taking £750k to pay the Crynes, they've converted it into player "assets." That's a lot of money to prime the pump with. The second point. For some reason, these owners are largely considered to be "balancing the books". They are considered prudent. I've even seen suggestions we're breaking even despite making significant operating losses. Since they took over, the football club has made a loss every single year. We will undoubtedly have lost money in the 20/21 accounts yet to be filed. So whatever we do as fans, and whatever debates we have. Let's eradicate these common myths about them. There is no evidence they are billionaires. None. They aren't prudent or ensuring we break even each season. And they had a massive amount of surplus that they inherited and have used the vast majority of it up to get to where we are now.
Id like them to improve the fan zone- Jean Michel Jarre light and sound experience or a bit of Pete Tong on the dex. Or gravy n peas to go wth the pies. Dog turnstiles. Olive bar. Las Vegas showgirls. Foxy Boxing. Bucking bronco.
It's too late for me. It doesn't matter what they do or say, I've lost all interest and motivation and I can't imagine what they could possibly say or do to change my mind. I simply wouldn't believe them.
They might argue they have improved it. I might choose not to agree, but they could point to no loans having been put in, having saleable assets, commercial deals improving, and that one outlier of a season that was better than what the previous owner delivered.
I'd ask them to run the club like a competitive sports club and not a retail outlet, I'd ask them to cut the ******** the lies and the spin, I'd ask them to do what other business people do and invest in their business after all they ask the fans to invest in it every season. Id ask them to employ people who know English football to run the playing side of things and then let them run it without interference from the boardroom.
I used capital letters to highlight that I wasn’t accusing you of using abuse as obviously the same words which aren’t highlighted in my original thread you took to mean you .
Obviously Googled it, they seem to know more than me. How about you? Where do you get your information?
Matchday experience definatly needs improvement something that they said would be improved when they took over, even that has gone backwards and got worse. So another question would be how has the matchday experience improved?
And where we are now is in a much worse position than we were when they took over. Yet some still can't accept they are bad owners.
Glad I don't rely on information from you in my job. I'll tell you where I get my information regarding the financial standing of our glorious owners - nowhere. Cos there isn't any.
