To real anger now and rightly so. It's gone beyond embarrassing, some of what I've seen tonight is players not even trying (Jordan Williams) and that is unforgivable.
I can accept relegation if players are genuinely trying and there is a little bit of fight but a lack quality.
We have players going through the motions, that don't want to be out there.

As soon as we go behind on Saturday (if not before) it's going to be toxic, get ready folks...

I actually think most of the players are trying it’s just that they are chronically out of there depth.

Pathetic losers. Look at the state of them!
We may get £50k for the three of them in the summer!

100%. Will turn quite quickly and the players will know this which just adds to the pressure.

That's why getting out of the habit of losing is so difficult to break. The importance of bringing in players this month was as much to add more quality as it was to freshen the place up. We've wasted three weeks and we've dropped even lower, throughout the club, than I thought was possible.

Williams was one of the few who looked like they cared.

The game is up, let's face it. The board, the useless cardboard cut out CEO & "manager" know it. We may as well believe Boris Johnson didn't know he was at a ******* party.

Apart from relegation, I don't know what the future holds to be honest. I think financially we're going to be in a big mess with £0 on the balance sheet and staring at a £6m-£7m deficit. Fair enough there will be salary reductions due to relegation clauses but I also expect a fire sale in the summer to try and balance the books. I can't see the owners recouping anything like what they expect for Helik, Anderson etc. Maybe Collins will be the only one to go for a decent fee.
What hurts me is that the board are acting as though they don't care. We needed reinforcements this month but with no activity so far they've thrown in the towel in my opinion.

Why are you calling me out and replying with one word posts?

In fact don't answer that. I'll send you a DM and ask if you've got a problem with me........

I think the majority of them are trying, and individually I think some of them are ok players, it’s just as a unit we’re absolute doggoes. Jordan Williams isn’t a left back/left wing back but he got no help whatsoever down that side (was it Iseka he bollo cked when he got left marking 3 of them from a corner?). The midfield doesn’t create anything, but it doesn’t help out defensively either so we don’t even get any solidity as a trade off against lack of threat going forwards. We also play a suicidally high defensive line a lot of the time and it’s massively depressing to see us keep conceding goals because of it.

In fact, that’s the most depressing thing for me. I can cope with us being a bit sh17e, I can cope with us losing games, but it’s depressing that there’s been no improvement, that we make the same mistakes game after game, and we never really look like we’re in games. There almost no point watching cos you can predict how it’ll go - play ok for 10 mins, maybe create a couple of chances, miss them, concede on the counter, game over, week after week.

Totally agree that the confidence is shot and a losing habit is rife no matter who plays, that's why a Warnock type appointment until the end of the season would have recognised this and wheeled and dealed as necessary to change things.

I don't agree that Williams didn't try. I seriously question his quality, but I wouldn't throw that at him. I thought he did try. I saw players that didn't, but not Jordan.

The issue we have now is bringing new blood in is a difficult sell, even if we were attempting to try.

Come to Barnsley. We are marooned at the bottom of the league, you'll almost certainly be in L1 next season. The fans are in a toxic mood. The rest of the squad have no morale and coming into work will be a real joy, perhaps. Or not.

    Where do I sign?

Hard as it might be, I think the toxicity needs to be focused outside the ground before and afterwards rather than aimed at the players.

Spot on. They clearly aren't worth bothering with.
