I was thinking that he has had covid already this season so could be that but he seems to have been out for a long time. Maybe poya can shed some light on it in the presser today?
Summats definitely 'up' with him. He looked a real find for the first 6 weeks or so of this season, but then went backwards. Whether this coincided with injury, covid or whatever, we'll never know as we are never told anything by anyone.
Apparently it's no longer policy to discuss the injury situation at the club any more. Sure I saw that mentioned the other day? Players can be missing for weeks (months in Obbi's case) and no one gets to know the reason why. Bonkers, like everything else at BFC right now.
I'm not saying this is the reason or I have any reason to believe it applies to Benson or anyone at the club, but sometimes when clubs are vague as to injuries it is because they are in fact covering up failed drugs tests for recreational drugs which aren't made public.
Yes, Asbaghi said it in his pre Brum interview (I think it was). Was asked what Heliks injury was, if it was a glute or thigh. Asbaghi said something like "it wasn't policy to talk about injuries". I'm sure someone can dig out the specific quote on ifollow if they want to do so. It was the second interviewer, so towards the final third of the interview.
Wow unbelievable if true, maybe its because sometimes theres no injury there saving them in the hope of a transfer (doubt thats bensons case) or maybe they just dont want to be here like oulare.
Just found the interview myself... 12:12 in the Brum pre match interview. Asked if a thigh or a glute (re Helik). Firstly Asbaghi doesn't understand the question. It's repeated and he answers.... "We usually don't comment about that detail of where injuries are on the players...."
I was wondering about this the other day too. When was his last game? Blackburn away? Guessing injured again. He’s not had a lot of luck this season.
