    I always carried a loop of string with a hook connected to it ....loop went went around drivers seat and hook on to the steering wheel...so has to hold the seat in the forward position (steering wheel was from a mini ...A mate replaced the cumbersome original )....
    The reason for the string and hook...

    .first time I was making use of the back seat with a young lady...the bloody seat dropped and caught me square on my achilles tendon right near my heel bone.....
    First and last time regarding the front seat ...Happy to say not the back seat though lol......
