Joe Rogan is a bit of a bellend. That said, Neil young has just flogged half his publishing rights for over $100m
Joe Rogan is like an idiot's idea of a smart person, he has people on with fringe views and just sits there and accepts what they say at face value.
I wonder how many people jumping on Rogan actually regularly listen to his full length podcasts. I do. They helped me a lot through lockdown. Never heard him saying anything anti vax or deny COVID. Has a broad range of guests on, some hugely pro vaccines, others skeptical. He's always been fair with both. All he said was if you're young, fit and healthy, you probably don't need one. He didn't say you shouldn't get one, but you'd probably be fine without. Which, statistically, he's right. I think he wanted to be an alternative voice to the traditional fear campaign and the general message of, "if you don't get vaccinated, you're going to die".
You don't get it though do you? People listen to his opinion and are influenced by that when he has **** all qualifications to be advising anyone what to do with their bodies like that. Same with the likes of Le Tissier. It is an abuse of power. It's ******* ridiculous that in 2022 people take someone such as his opinion more seriously than medical professionals. Thick as **** honestly. "I've done my own research" yeah ok blah blah blah. Bellends the lot of them.

Read what I said? He has has guests on. Medical professionals. He speaks to them all. He looks at both points of view. That's the issue here. He allows alternative points of view to be aired. He's had someone on who basically invented the vaccine technology and a doctor with more peer reviews in his speciality than anyone in history. Rogan doesn't even come down on one side, he just gives a platform to other opinions. What's wrong about that? Don't you think it's bizarre that pharma and the media are trying to cover up effective ways of treating covid? Shouldn't we just be looking at everything that might help? That has literally been his only point, and he's had professors and doctors on his show that find it bizarre too. Doesn't fit the narrative, I suppose. Listen to one of his podcast, see for yourself. But no, you won't, cos you wouldn't want to be challenged on your pre determined ideological view.
I read what you said and I've given my opinion and I can't be arsed getting into this cyclical argument again. All I'm saying is that anyone with hundreds of thousands/millions of followers should be very careful about giving opinions that may sway others when they have **** all qualification to do so, especially when it is potentially life threatening. Everyone's suddenly become an expert now and society places an ex footballer or some ***** off Love Island or whatever show you want to choose from on an equal footing of knowledge as a doctor. It is insane. He even agrees with me. From the horse's mouth: "I'm not a doctor, I'm a ******* moron. I'm not a respected source of information, even for me".
Seems a bit silly to me. He's removed in music in protest at one person opinion he doesn't agree with being aired? So essentially he wants censorship that conforms with his view or he's out? He's also raised more publicity for Joe Rogan than he could have ever dreamed of. I dare say there are people who have been convicted of murder, rape, assault & more whose content is on Spotify. Let alone all the ones who talk about it and other dark stuff.
