    I’m going and will be renewing next year. Just had to miss a couple of months due to knee replacement surgery so looking forward to it.

    I've seen us in League 1 before and with George getting older and nearly talking and behaving himself I'd get me him and Laura one if the board cover the shortfall.

    I am not sure why people are queuing up to announce that they are not going, its as if people have to justify not being there, or am I missing something & there is " I"m not going club " where you get a badge of honour for staying away , on the plus side all the stay aways will not be able to pass judgement on the performance if they are not there to witness it , incidentally I do not blame people for not wanting to go I just do not understand the need to broadcast it.

    No badge of honour, but possibly a feeling of sadness and regret that it has come to this. In this thread alone there are plenty of very long-standing Reds fans not going. Maybe it’s their way of expressing their displeasure in the hope that someone on the board who reads the BBS, might see / might care about the level of destruction.

    Just making conversation that’s all. I certainly don’t claim any badges for my absence. I’ve travelled from every corner of the country to watch home matches. The craziest trip was leaving RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton at about 3 pm and hitch hiking to Barnsley for a Tuesday night match against Villa (1971/2) lost 0-4. Then hitched back getting to camp about 2.30 in the morning. The uniform helped, obviously.

    All I’m saying is that the burning desire to go matches is slipping away, and I don’t like that feeling.

    Going to watch a proper team today. Penistone Church.
    They're flying at the moment,. At least I get to watch passion in a team with the ability to score goals plus a bloody good chance of a win.
    Even if it is blowing a gale up here.
    Sorry but I'm finding non league much more entertaining.
