Despite being comfortably the worst team in the division and heading for the club's worst season in history and possibly the worst of any Championship club ever too. We have yet to sign a single player in fact the only movement as been out which just further weakened an already poor unbalanced squad. That tells me all I want to know about the board and what importance they give to league position. You've only to look down the A635 to Doncaster to see what a board that cares does in a window faced with a similar position to ours they've acted by making signings even our dear friends in S6 despite being under a transfer embargo and unable to sign permanent deals unless the player is a free agent have made loan signings. I want the board gone and given the complete lack of incoming transfer activity of any kind I cannot for the life of me see why anybody who claims to be a reds fan isn't shouting from the rooftops for them to get out of OUR club. Qué the "we might sign somebody tomorrow" posts and yes we might but it's too late if they'd had any intention of even trying to stay up they wouldn't have employed Schopp mk 2 and would have had signings lined up ready to be actioned on day one of the window not day 31. So yes I think get out of OUR club you greedy ******** get out of OUR club sums it up nicely.

We will sign a nondescript token loan player at best.

Does the lack of signings and the fact we are linked to possibly free or loans reinforce the fact that the money has run out.

Even before the window i think the words of Khaled were that there had to be outgoings before incomings.

They may want to make signings but if the cash isn’t there it’s not happening.

We don't have any players to sell with any cash value at all.
Nobody wants players from a team rooted to the bottom of the league.
Apparently due to last season's style of play we couldn't sell anyone, this season we are crap and can't sell anyone. The Plan is working well.

There have been three outgoings already. Might not have pulled much in transfer fees but will have freed up some wages.
They could for once actually consider investing into the club. That would be novel.

We'll find out in a couple of months... but it does look like the coffers are empty.

What an exciting time to be a Barnsley fan

These rumours will be more accurate today than most:-

Bossman close to signing a new gamekeeper

Whitey - transferring from 5-a-side to Snooker (ITK)

Superposh7 Ian - Loan from Peterborough breaks down

All new BFC signings will be in the squad on Wednesday v Cardiff. Unless they aren't fit or don't have a a passport in which case they will be available for Fleetwood Away next season.

To make up for the lack of preseason, fitness and season planning last summer, the club have doubled training so that they will be ready for league one. Xboxes have been issued also to stay match fit.

Quite likely. Apparently Khaled’s programme notes were talking about how we’ve been turning down bids for first team players, probably thinking it would win fans over. Trouble is, we’re desperate to bring in a midfielder or two, and in the Q&A, he pretty much admitted that we can’t even afford a loan.

I think, if we are serious about staying up, there’s only Morris that I wouldn’t sell to bring money in for a midfielder with some experience. Instead, we’re going down with less than a wimper, coppering up whatever we’ve got for Williams and Sibbick, and the bids that come in will only get lower after relegation.

personally think any permanent signings are pointless now. loans to the end of the season perhaps, but not permanents.

A couple of cheap loans at best today and ones we’ll probably wait another month for a work permit for. The money the club had was spectacularly wasted in the summer transfer window, a lot of it still being deposited in Obbi’s bank account every month.

We may as well sign permanent signings for league 1 now.

Ah so I'm guessing that's the fans fault as to why we're in this current mess then.

worry is if Poya is replaced (and I seriously hope he is), any signings today may not be in the new manager's plans. also, their confidence might also get smashed, as L1 quality players trying to play half a season in a $hit championship side. they may have been written off by fans before they've even kicked a ball in L1
