First half we did. Way too slow movement second half and then he takes the best player off the pitch.

I hope I'm wrong but I saw a lot of well intentioned posturing tonight. Williams dropping the shoulder and jinking in and out then a neat lay-off. Gomes, Benson and Styles huffing and puffing. Quina and Vita showing endeavour but little else. Kitching coming forward like Harry Maguire.

    There was nothing there though.

I don't agree. I thought Quina and Vita showed a lot of class, as well as endeavour.

Cost us a point. In the grand scheme of things that decision will have cost us nothing.

We looked ok in open play but still managed only one shot on target. Ultimately we lost to a very poor Cardiff side who were happy to give up possession. We won't play too many sides of that poor a quality for the rest of this season. Will we win another game?

Will have cost us a bit of what is left of our confidence. A miserly goal to add to our miserable tally of 17 in 28 games.

Just this - you could see how gutted the players were at the end. True I dont think a point will make a difference at the end of the season but a bit of confidence may influence the next results. Remember the last minute equaliser against the blunts when we were bottom of L1 and hadnt won for weeks and what happened afterwards.
Not for one minute saying that we would suddenly surge up the table but having a good goal incorrecly ruled out right at the end is a massive kick in the unmentionables to the players

Thinking of my son's football and he'd have been down for not getting a win against a poor side. Would only be happy with a draw if it was a top team. And these are professional footballers, it's not a good enough attitude.

I get that, I just think it was cruel on us to lose in that fashion, and to not get a draw at the end rather than a defeat that we didn't deserve is hard to take. But that's life. As you say, they are professional footballers, and they had chances during the game which we didn't capitalise on. And we also messed up royally (again) for their goal. Such a sickener to concede, because it was so unnecessary. Someone blamed Mads, but no-one is outmuscling that guy and it's easy to say he should have been ahead of the player when it was against the run of play. It was Helik's error, he bottled the header completely and that, for me, is unforgivable for a defender. And an international one at that.
