And one player was subbed, while the other came on as sub...

The two new signings: could they play together in midfield, or are they too similar? Must admit, I thought Quina was a forward, but apparently he played in midfield and I was under the impression Bassi is also an attacking midfielder.

Both looked technically excellent players, we'll soon knock that out of them...:(:(:(

Who knows? Either way it’s meaningless as we’re playing Styles of all people up front.

    As an optimist.
I think on last nights showing the new lads also allowed Gomes and Vita to play a bit more fluidly.
It’d be nice to think that we had that amount of flair and skill in the middle of the park, but we’d need 2 fit Morris’ up front to get any results from it. And we don’t have one, let alone 2.

The sad thing is that a 2019 Woodrow would also benefit from that midfield. But he’s not available either.

Bassi is only a little fella, but as he wore short sleeves and no base-layer he is right up there with the best as far as I am concerned.

On the brief evidence seen, I would put Bassi down as one of those little busy-body type players, whilst Quina seemed very tricky, creative and more of a playmaker. I would guess he has the ability to take those talents further up the pitch?

    I was impressed with both.

Like wise , they both contributed in a positive fashion last night & has been said previously our better strikers should profit from these two additions , plus I thought both Gomez & Benson were o.k last night possibly because there was more movement & fluidity with these lads on the pitch but the one thing I would do to compliment these two is to play a two up top , it was hard for Cole last night with Styles playing just behind him, it needs Morris or a fit Woodrow so that the midfield have options to which to supply

Benson was ok until the edge of the box and then he fell apart and shirked several chances to shoot. Quina looks a very good individual player and Bassi could be the glue we have been missing to hold the whole chebang together. A very good prompter . Only seen him the once, but I think Marsh should be the one alongside Moriss.

They both played well. Looked like talented footballers.
Quina good on the ball with an eye for a good cross field pass.
Bassi looked nippy and skilful. Put himself about during his time on the pitch. Seems to have some vision re what to do with the ball.
The two of them together in a "3" in a 4231could certainly give us more creativity going forward and enable a better service to whoever is in playing up front.

I thought Cole worked his nuts off last night & for 60 minutes had very little support , he also has pace which unsettles defenders & therefore I would go with him and Morris but I do think that Marsh should be used off the bench with a view to bringing his development along without putting him under too much pressure.

I think he may have needed gloves, at least, for this game: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60240754

Thought he had a great debut.
    Didn't put a foot wrong.
Played like he really wanted BFC to win.
Pity he didn't even make the squad.

I'd argue that Saturday is arguably our most important game left, Helen. Let's face it we're relegated. The only chance left this season of salvaging any kind of memory is putting a strong side out against Huddersfield and maybe giving ourselves the chance to catch someone unawares in the next round.

Agree. If we don’t win the FA Cup this year I’ll eat my hat.
