Something that is annoying me at the moment are the stories about Colin being a possible new head coach
I know that there is no prospect of it happening but still deep inside there is a part of me that thinks just maybe there is a chance it could be true and then you start to get this stupid hope that if he came in we might start winning games and scoring goals again you never know we might even pull off another great escape

My head knows this isnt going to happen but still you start to think there is a glimmer of hope - and its annoying

Im not even clinging to forlorn hope - because there is literally no hope. Not a snowball's chance in hell.

To stay up we'd need twelve wins from 18 games. It isn't going to happen.

Usually when national media have news stories about us that look crazy the local media are quick to confirm it's got no chance. This time though I haven't seen Radio Sheffield, Barnsley Chronicle, Yorkshire Post etc journalists tweeting about it knocking it back, so maybe a smidge of truth in it....I reckon Warnock would come. I even would put up with him bringing Blackhead as his assistant. But our board would have to make a lot of allowances for Neil. He would want to be a manager and if he stayed beyond this season he'd want to sign British based players and older players.

I know we have absolutely no chance of scoring, let alone winning, but I've just put 50p on us to win at Luton.

    That's where hope gets you.

Baby steps. Let's start with shooting, then we can start thinking about scoring and then just maybe we can start to think about winning

If we got Warnock it would have to be on a 3 year deal. Even he couldn't keep us up this season. So it would be to get us promoted at the first attempt and have another bash back in the Championship. Just can't see it. Yes it would suit someone having their last gig. However, it would have to be a decent gig not a temporary one.

There is more chance of me winning Miss World than us staying up.

Unfortunately I must agree as we haven't enough games left to make up the difference and more importantly we have only won twice in. 20+ games so 10 wins in 17 games ain't gonna happen. We are not rock bottom of the championship for nothing. Even Derby have overtaken us after all their points deduction. Its an embarrassment.

I suspect it might be sources close to Colin that are feeding this rumour to the press. He obviously fancies a return to football management and because of his previous connections with us he's advertising his availability just in case the suits in the boardroom at Oakwell decide to cut their ties with Poya. To save our Championship status with this squad would be a step too far for most managers given the number of games we need to win and the number of games remaining so what's the point of paying off Poya and getting some one else in for what seems like a tall order? Better to have the new boss in for pre-season.

If he’d have been offered the job when Schopp went he might have taken it. No chance now. No one could keep us up this season so unless he fancies a crack at league 1 with a bunch of under 23’s I’d say it’s extremely unlikely

Getting a new manager in now (home based not another from overseas please) would at least be an opportunity to offer some hope for next season. How we finish this one may at least help sell a few season tickets.

Agreed but one or two wins would be good.
