Embarrassing the whole club is embarrassing at the minute conman the worst head coach in Barnsley history, the fact that we will end up the worst club the championship has ever seen, the shocking group of players we have assembled and the fans who defend it all. Cant wait to see what conman has to say this month when the supporters trust interview him.
To be honest, I hate the idea of finishing with less than 23 points more than I hate the actual relegation. It's the kind of statistic that turns your club into a joke.
I dont see where the next win is coming from under poya or the next goal for that matter. But he gets on with the players so thats cute.
Couldn't agree more. I can't be bothered to watch any Premier League game, but I'll happily watch one of these mis-matched teams and root for the underdog. And when it does happen, it's just pure unadulterated joy.
Boreham Wood’s chairman remortgaged his house to help club survive through Covid. Ours stole season ticket money (allegedly) from 3000 supporters to pay off a debt. Some comparison that.
I agree. I'm grateful that we drew Huddersfield as whilst it was disappointing to go out to them, there was no shame. Had we drawn Kidderminster or Boreham Wood I suspect we'd have lost and would have had the embarrassment of an exit to a non-league club to add to the rest of this appalling season.
Just watched the highlights of this game in wonder. The way the non-leaguers just harried the strutters all over the park and played forward at every opportunity was phenomenal. It reminded me of us last season. We could do that and give ourselves a chance in future in games.
I watched an earlier round of the FA CUP on ITV 4 when Boreham Wood were playing. I was really struck but what an organised disciplined team they were. They are still in the FA Cup, quarters of the FA Trophy and riding high in the league - all on attendances of around 650. Those around them in the league, Chesterfield, Notts County, Stockport, Wrexham are getting more like 8,000. On Sunday v Bournemouth BW had half their team out injured and only had four outfield subs. So perhaps Luke Gerrard might be your man for next season
I was quite amazed by it simply because I went to Boreham Wood V Stockport earlier this season and saw the worst match between two full-time professional clubs that I've ever seen. It was 0-0 and trust me both teams were lucky to get nil, also bear in mind I saw my first Barnsley game in 1968 so I've seen some really bad football in my time.
