We will never know if no one doesn't ask him and I believe Conway is incapable of talking , well I have never heard him speak
Owt would be better than the crap asbaghi puts out. He tells them not to attack there is more important elements to the game than attacking and shooting. What a moran
It would be a morale boost, but it depends how people prioritise their opposition to the owners. Personally, the £750k issue is a fundamental line in the sand for me, so even the prospect of Colin in charge wouldn't overcome that with regard to renewing my season ticket. While this remains un-refunded back to BFC, and the ownership continue to maintain the false argument that it's a debt of the football club being paid, then puts any further income into the football club (at least up to another £2.75m) at risk of going the same way as the £750k. Others will feel differently, and it all depends on where everyone doing #NAPM draws their own line as to what would make them end their own personal protests. I suspect mine marks me as one of those least likely to be able to renew in the near future.
Because he demands a fee that I very much doubt we'd pay, a friend is a football accountant, he knows the wage demands sought after managers make...he told me Colin wanted significant 7 figure numbers.
But apparently warnock has publicly stated he only wants to take some one on for rest of this season then retire. He also said every time a club is in relegation trouble they think of him so he would like one more chance to save some body. I believe that is a nudge nudge to the Barnsley board but they are too thick and too far up their own backsides to see it
Colin’s on record as saying we were his favourite club of his playing days. Having a bash at keeping us up against all odds would be a fitting end to his managerial career. He could hardly be blamed if he failed given the hopeless situation we’re in. Any major payment he asks for could be only paid if he keeps us up. Reckon he’d go for that on a nominal basic wage. Won’t happen though as Conway and co are firmly set on driving us into oblivion with their daft plan.
I honestly can't see it happening, but then again I couldn't see us signing a crocked, unmotivated striker who's played about 20 mins in three years...so what do I know?
I haven't been down to the well for about 2 years. My last game was Stoke at home and I walked out at 1-4. As I got to the bottom of the east stand, we scored to make it 2-4. If Colin came in and this board changed their ways, I would more than likely come back this season. Otherwise, I stay away until the board buck their ideas up. Bear in mind I started going at 5 years old in 1965, so seen some right old tripe over the years but this lot take the biscuit. Even #Ileyout was better than this.
If you have watched BFC for quite a long time ,it wouldn't come as any surprise to sign someone crocked. Ask all the old boys about Phil Gridelet. His nickname was God we new he existed but we had never seen him.
I'd have him back, did a job in keeping Rotherham up a few years back against the odds. If they did get him he'd defo make the rest of the season interesting. One of the first things he does is to create a good dressing room and get the players fighting for the cause. Don't see any real fight at the moment, just seem to be treading water. Not been since they closed the west stand but may go back if Colin comes back.
Too little too late anyway but it would be nice to have a actual manager like warnock to bring some organisation and guidance.
Ive said it before, imagine Warnock as coach being told what to do by some whipper snapper CEO and a Conway. "Today Neil the team you will play is ....." "And you can f.uck off ...." He's a manager not a grunt.
Can’t see it myself . We haven’t got the players if he did come . Warnock likes a strong , get in your face type of player and even I could blow most of our squad off the ball . Wrong squad and too little too late .
