At this point it would be more beneficial for Hassel/Devaney to be put in charge - even if it's just to give them half a season or so first team managerial experience.
I'll keep saying it 'til I'm blue in the face, even at 73 years old, Warnock is an investment in as much as he would knock this lot into shape then they could be sold on at a huge profit... Sorry I turned into Chien Lee for a minute there, I meant to say they'd be ready to fight for an immediate return to the Championshiip.
I hate being defeatist but we're as good as down so it's all about how we go down. Do we go down fighting or do we go down without a whimper? If we do the latter then we're making it more difficult for us next season and the downward spiral could continue and I don't want to even contemplate struggling in League One. Unfortunately, with the current manager there is no evidence of us improving significantly to go down fighting therefore he has to go. Give the job to Devaney until the end of the season and hopefully he'll install a little bit of pragmatism and fight in the team in preparation for next season.
We keep arsebaggage until the end of the season and there's a big chance the damage caused to the confidence of the players will cause us to drop straight through L1.
to be fair i think we need a clean sweep from top to bottom from board level all way down to and including the manager.
There's only any real merit in keeping him if it's thought that he can do a good job in the league below. If we carry on losing week in week out then there is no logic in thinking that things will change dramatically in the league below. Having said that i don't think there's a great deal anyone can do this season with this lot. They need a fresh start out of the blocks quick next season. If they do, and we get a goal scorer in to make it happen, there's hope.
Could be a compromise for the board and a good education/learning curve for Poya.If it's the only way to get Colin in for the rest of the season I would go for it.
Ya know what. I've thought about this as well. Maybe your right it won't make much difference, but I think we would see a remarkable difference in the crowds atmosphere. More of a get behind them. I get the negative vibes will affect players, but the fans need something to grasp onto. At the moment we have nothing. Warnock I'm sure we would change our support in the stands for the players which may give hope. I doubt he would save us, but at least we will go down with some pride. Stay as it is, we may as well just ask the league to finish us now, and we have a head start trying to build next year
Doug nails it with one stat line. Forget the lack of wins, we're still to take the lead in a league game since he took charge.
I'd settle for a manager who appears happy to be here, who realises it's an honour to represent our club and our town and who has the decency to answer the questions of the local press who only want to keep fans informed. I'm 50 years old, but if I'd gone to Sweden and acted like this guy I'd have got a scutch off me dad.
He has a 0% win rate in the competition that matters. The only win we have was us scraping a win against a team two leagues below with 10 men............... He has to go.
Lets not forget we should have also gone out to Barrow in the FA Cup too had it not been for the ref.
