So the puppet of a ceo gave love letters to reds fans at Luton tonight “We will fight to the end” he says !! and a free drink ! Christ almighty what a joke.

What a f*cking embarrassment he and the owners all are. Luton went halves on the cost of the fans drinks that just sums these locusts up.

we have a cardboard cutout dummy of a manager a puppet of a ceo and a set of owners who take the money from working class people who support BFC and use that money to pay off their own debts whilst rinsing the club of everything they can.

the club is nothing more than a commodity trading platform and it’s a disgrace what these locusts have done and continue to do. The club is being destroyed by them.

I hope on Saturday the protests are rammed down their throats and everybody joins in. Quicker this lot are driven out the better because looking at the dross we have such as kitchin Cole benson the list of gutless out of their depth players goes on and on we are a lower league table one side if that

sack the shop dummy then pack your bags and get out of our club

Exactly why are these people here ? What is their plan now they can’t get their mits on the land ? All they are doing is destroying all the clubs they own so what’s the point ?

It's funny because they haven't fought at all this season and didn't tonight when the CEO said they'd fight.

I think this is a nice gesture. And tbf if we can get Luton to pay for some of it then why not? KEA continues to shoot himself in the foot with his messaging though: "We are Barnsley. We do not give in." Khaled - you really are out of touch with the sentiment of the majority of your supporters.

Agree with that. The good and the bad.

He is out of touch but he does seem to be trying. Must be a thankless task working for these charlatans though.

I didn’t read the letter just handed it over for my free Bovril only to be told I could only have Tea or Coffee for a free hot drink.
    So had a coffee instead.

Thought the free drink was a nice gesture. Doesn’t excuse everything else going on at the club, but those that do care are behind stuff like this so maybe think on before using it as a stick to beat the club with.

In terms of Luton contributing half. They didn’t really. They just reduced the price for a bulk order from many fans who wouldn’t have spent money anyway. Wasn’t an investment just a discount - sound business sense on their part and a decent enough gesture for those that travelled down and witnessed that abhorrent second half performance.

Get yaselves a free drink lads but keep your eyes off the bovril hey :D

i guess its something and id never be ungrateful if someone did that but the issue isnt the bovril or the offer really is it. Wouldnt have happened if wed been pushing where luton are cos wed have had a sell out ill bet.

    Too little too late.

The letter and free drink was a nice touch but not paying the full amount ourselves was a poor showing. As was refreshments having no hot chocolates available.

???? Only advantage to them was if someone decided to buy something else as well? Soft drinks and tea and coffee keep for the next game surely?

Nice gesture ! I agree loko in isolation but does this puppet think this would have gone down well with the fans after what this lot have been up to ?

we have willfully destroyed your football club but lucky you we will go halves with Luton to buy 300 cups of tea and a love letter each hopefully that will ease your pain……..Jesus wept does this ceo not have a brain ? The club is dead it’s on its arse because of these people and the way they are dismantling the club and basically p*ssing up the fans backs. Next season we will be bottom end of league one after the summer sale to raise the coin to cover the £7m relegation deficit.

by the way loko any news on the February meeting with Jesus ? Might as well start calling Conway that because we’ve seen Jesus more than him recently.

The cost of a tea/coffee to Luton is probably about 15p. We’ve rocked up and said we want to buy 300 hot drinks, which was very likely considerably more than they’d sell on the night anyway.

They could potentially sell 150 at £2.50 for £375. Or 300 at £1.25 for £375. The latter guarantees income whereas the former could be more or could be less.

Equally it drags everyone to the kiosk, where some like me ended up buying something else as well when they wouldn’t have bought anything. It’s very likely Luton made money last night because I doubt everyone claimed their drink, and I also doubt Barnsley demanded to count the letters returned before paying the bill.

So they didn’t really contribute 50%. But it’s right we call them out and thank them for facilitating the gesture.

There’s so much wrong at the club right now I don’t think we need to aggressively berate genuine gestures from those who care. That’s my point.

    Poya out.

Sadly we had a trust member raise a complaint against myself and Gally for giving updates on the potential Conway meeting to the BBS before Trust Members. I mean we weren’t giving much of an update other than repeating what was on the Trust website, but it’s just easier going forward to not say anything until confirmed.

Sad as that is it just isn’t worth the hassle. Getting criticism at every turn is getting a bit tiresome to be honest, so best to be whiter than white. Especially when there’s this weird notion out there that we’re happy with what’s going on and love going to places like Luton on a Tuesday night to witness second half dross like was on show yesterday.

Well personally I think it's an absolute kick in the teeth to all reds reserved+ members.

Well done lads, you acted like pricks at Huddersfield, thanks for the support, here's a cup of tea. Oh you paid extra for vouchers? You can have a pepsi but only if you buy a pie first.

I also don't believe it has ANYTHING to do with Khaled. This exact same arse licking has gone on for a few years now. Pick an away game, give a free soft drink or a scarf and everything is magical. Even con way and co got in on the action in the past at away games.

There's absolutely no doubt about it, someone at Barnsley football club values people who go to away games over season ticket holders and it's just wrong.

I have a lot of respect for you, your posts are usually bang on the mark, but I don't believe for one minute that anyone at the club values its away following over ST holders. That's a daft thing to say. It's a token gesture of appreciation to people who have travelled to support the team. Nothing more, nothing less.

Besides, there's no way of knowing how many of the 300 away fans last night were ST holders. They might be largely the same people.

There's a lot to be would up about at the moment, but it's starting to feel like the CEO can't do right for doing wrong. If it was December and he sent us all a Xmas goodwill message, some folk would complain about it.

You just seemed to be downplaying Luton's role in it that's all. It did cost them money.
