Exactly @Loko the Tyke hence my somewhat bizarre post. Although the trouble in Ukraine started with someone lobbing PEK meat. Just saying.
Tbh, I'd rather the trust, the people on Facebook the other Barnsley FC groups work together. However, the trust is biding its time ( fair enough) and I personally think we as fans should be showing our feelings about our owners now. Only one group is attempting to do that ( and I agree it could be organised better ) then they get my support. To be clear, the posts are reiterating non violence in the group. Hopefully Saturday is the start, more folk get involved and it gets more organised as more are willing to nail their flag to the mast.
@Redhelen - That’s the spirit, Barnsley United! For the avoidance of any doubt I’m not suggesting a new team call Barnsley United or throwing food, either loose or canned.
Aye OK. You mean like if someone started serving Chicken Flatbreads at half time and suddenly people started eating them? I mean, there's absolutely no correlation between the marketing of the flatbreads and the increase in sales. Complete coincidence.
Positive, negative, zero or spurious? All types of correlation, the one you refer to is definitely a positive correlation.
a bit of a clumsy attempt at humour. If you have any proof where anyone involved in running the Facebook group has encouraged people to act illegally or endorses violence I would be happy to see it.
You must be very supportive of Priti Patels attempts to outlaw peaceful protest. If you have any direct proof that the people involved in the Facebook group have indulged in or encouraged violence then let us have a look at it. If not best not to infer that they have imo.
Yep. The 'spokesperson' indulged and encouraged violence by suggesting it was fine to throw tins at the food bank. See, I can be difficult too.
I don't understand why people are glossing over the tin throwing tweet by Luke Goddard? It's like it never happened...
One day maybe all the supporters can work together in one goal, but whilst ever we all fight amongst are self's the PMG will be rolling around laughing
You think he should be prosecuted for a statement like that? In that particular context? You think he committed a criminal offence?
Surely it was just a stupid throw away (no pun intended) comment, Vesp. No one in their right mind could interpret it as an actual instruction to throw food tins about and anyone who did doesn't need a Facebook group to incite them to idiocy.
Picture, if you will, a sheet of the finest A4 paper, coated in the silkiest of red ink with the catchiest slogan known to man "Conway Out" emblazoned across it in a bold font. It's phenomenal.
