    Do they still have those at Oakwell? They took the edge off the hard wooden seats in the West Upper the last time I was in there circa 1978.

    There used to be an adage in football which stated that you are only as good as your last game. Look, I’m simply saying that these players may not be as sought after, at the fee levels we would hope to achieve, as one might assume.

    Sadly I have to agree. This isn't just a poor season, it's a diabolical season. It's not just a relegation, we're on course for a record breaking relegation. We can't keep a clean sheet, we struggle to score, we have nothing of value in midfield, and half the time our players can't even get the basics right. Add to that the additional entries on injury records and you'd be mad to be offering anything like last year's values.

    Have I missed where anyone has suggested we'll get last year's values? I've not been reading the BBS as much so I might have, but it's like we're debating this when I think it would be 100% everyone agreeing?

    I think the weight of expectancy of last season coinciding with not having the desired results has caused the players to try too hard.

    I've never seen a Barnsley side over play and put that extra pass in more than this one.

    I feel for the players and the Head Coaches.

    I'm done feeling sorry for myself.

    You can join Dear Deirdre or Sooty and Co. However, I think the effort has and is there.

    I'll be there next season. Why? After all that bleating...because they need us.
