    Afternoon all,

I fundraise for Weston Park Cancer Charity who have treated a number of family members over the years but more recently treated my step-dad for a rare form of cancer within the neck.
Last October the two clubs teamed up and formed the Partnership with Weston Park. I arranged a walk between Bramall Lane and Oakwell prior to the fixture. SUFC kindly arranged for us to start the walk inside the ground, doing a lap of the pitch, with us doing a lap of Oakwell at half time.

On March 19th we will be doing the route again, this time from Oakwell to Bramall Lane. This walk is open to anyone; whether a BFC or SUFC supporter or just someone who wishes to give something back to Weston Park.

All we ask is for a registration donation prior to the walk of £10. If people want to fundraise for Weston Park they can do so and I have forms available. Don't want to take part but still want to support, donations can be made via the link below.

In the run up to the walk both clubs will be pushing the event on their social media and hopefully some staff members will be joining us on the day.

Any chance this thread could be 'stuck' for a few weeks?

I've a week off work following this, so I believe myself and Andrew Clark will be walking on behalf of the club.

My mother was looked after by Weston Park many, many years ago before the evil disease eventually took her. Close to my heart.

Honestly mate. You're better bumping it every few days for as long as you need to - especially leading up to the game. Everyone thinks a sticky gets the most views but it gets ignored in the main unless it's something that's regularly updated or added to.

Can also support through the BFCST social channels if you want to message me the details?

Excellent. I spoke briefly with Andrew last week? Hoping to catch up and discuss plans soon. Chronicle are on board with it.

I am currently doing my own 10 k Hospice challenge walks, I started on the ! st of february & my challenge is to do a minimum of 10K every day for 40 consecutive days , this morning I completed my 14th so only 26 more to do !! , I have set it up through a Facebook fund raiser & all money I raise goes directly to Barnsley Hospice , should I be in any decent condition when I complete my challenge then I would look to support this worthy cause for Weston Park , I finish mine on march 12 th so it gives me a weeks recovery time !

Sounds good. If you want me to broadcast it via the private messages on here @MEXBOROUGHRED in the week leading up it i'd be happy to. Might be a story for the next Trust email newsletter as well @Loko the Tyke ?
