Wouldn't mind the 1st car I had in 1968 a 1958 Ford Consul Mk1, column change, hand brake on dash, foot-operated dip, and full beam on the floor 6 leather seats in 3 front, 3 back in the back. and the power it would have pulled a house down.

Veyron Super Sport, I wouldn’t want one but I’d like the money to buy one.

That car is insane. Obviously never driven one except in GT5 SIM but it gives you a good idea of the performance and grip levels. Ran it round the full Nordschleife for several laps and nothing short of a 'full on' open cockpit racing car could get close not even the McLaren F1 road car. Can't see the point in the 'real World' of having cars like that though as they really belong on the racetrack.

EDIT: Alright so I lied. There are several cars that beat the Veyron but most like the current record holder (Porsche) are heavily modified aerodynamically and tuned bearing no resemblance to standard production road versions

Having decided to retire early in 2017 my dream car changed from a BMW 6 series to a long in the tooth Toyota Avensis.
    No complaints though. :)

Classic would be Lamborghini Miura SV

Modern is GMA T33 which won't be out for a few years.

when I was a kid I always wanted a Dolomite sprint for my first car - though obviously fantasized about a Lamborghini Countach - I actually bought as my first car a Vauxhall Chevette which was a bit of a come down though I did like it

My best car by far was a Peugot 406 V6 Executive late 90's model. It looked like a normal 406 unless you looked closely at the tyres or exhaust but had all the toys around at the time (pre sat nav) was pretty quick and incredibly reliable - I did almost 200000 miles in it and had it for 10 years.

Second best is my current a Jaguar XF AWD sportbrake - its fast comfortable and practical - if I had a dream car it would need to be a second car and then I could have either a Lamborghini Huracan or an Audi A8

    slightly o/t --

the darker the colour of the car the more likely it is to be involved in a road accident - think it's because lighter cars are more visible ??

as for dream car - to echo what others have said - as long as it starts first time and feels safe to drive I'm happy - (what goes on under the bonnet has always been a mystery!) -- proud owner of a 15 year old VW which through God's Grace and the guys at Crows Garage Pogmoor has never let me down.

    still o/t --

2 days before renewing his car insurance friend was caught speeding (speed camera.) Got notification of this after he'd renewed the insurance - 3 points on his licence dated the time of the offence. Despite friend not being aware of the imposition of the three points when he renewed his insurance his insurance cover was invalid as he should have told insurance company about the point as although backdated they were technically on his licence when he renewed his insurance. The moral of this tale is always inform Insurance Co whenever you get penalty points.

and still o/t - white BMW ablaze at the Penny Pie gyratory earlier today - fire engines in attendance.

IMG-20200726-WA0005.jpg My lad's been looking after one of these beasts for the last few years (that's him in the teeshirt). I'd have gone for one of them but I couldn't get my fishing tackle in!
