You havent tried participating in horse racing? Cant beat the adremaline rush of riding a galloping horse - especially if there is a jump coming up Sadly those days are long behind me - havent ridden for over 20 years but I used to love it
Does chess count?! If we're talking about proper sports where you have to run around, I can watch most things except golf and motor racing. Not very keen on basketball either, although I have enjoyed playing it in the past. The gaelic sports look absolutely brilliant and mental in equal measures.
Too many to chose from. But not the game/sport specifically. I enjoy most of the major competitions equally. Eg Ryder cup Moscononi cup Olympics. Brits all the way regardless of sport. Hate eg Basketball/Netball Baseball. (Rounders) Kabaddi (tigs)
No but I grew up watching Channel 4 racing with my Grandad and idolising Pat Eddery and Walter Swinburn.
I still remember you turning up at school with all the gear on and the ball!!. And yep, you've affiliated with the Eagles as long as I've known you.
Always enjoyed golf and cricket, both playing and watching. And really into road cycling now having taken it up to lose weight and get fit. The love of cricket goes back to 1981 (Botham was my first sporting hero other than Ronnie Glavin), and both myself and @Sheriff weren't bad cricketers at junior school. We still wax lyrical about Duncan Fearnley bats and the 1984 "Blackwash" series v West Indies, who still remain the best side I've ever watched. With golf, Tom Watson was my icon, and used to watch him at the Open regularly. As others have posted, as much I've loved Barnsley, I don't really have any feel for modern football now.
1. Tennis (Playing and watching the big four) 2. Boxing (Watching) 3. Cricket (Used to play, but watch rarely) 4. Squash (Playing, but not very often) Often contemplated taking up Golf. Had a couple of goes and enjoyed it!
I would cancel my Sky subscription if they did not show cricket but would not cancel if they lost football.
American football. In fact I prefer American football to soccer, aside from Barnsley. I'd rather be at the Super Bowl over the Champions' League final any day. Used to be a big cricket fan but I have become a bit tired of it. If I had a choice of event to attend: Barnsley at Wembley Super Bowl Men's Individual Sprint Olympic Final Boxing Day Ashes England vs the All Blacks at Twickenham Rugby Union World Cup final Football World Cup final
Yeah same I think. Cricket is just better in so many ways. Wish Sky had more series between non-English sides. Really enjoyed SA vs IND for example.
