Moon should be no where near the 1st team been poor all season. Learning his trade fair enough but no where near good enough
A point would not have been an acceptable result we need wins draws are no good and we aren't capable of nicking wins because we are always going to make at least one mistake
I wonder how many times 'deckchairs on the titanic' has been mentioned on here since the new year? Maybe it's on everyones subconscious minds given it's the 110 year anniversary this year. That and the fact that we're sinking. There's more effort in the old woman tossing her necklace into the sea than Poya's tactics.
I already correctly predicted that one mistake would lead to us losing. And saying that anything but a win is unacceptable at a city where we haven't won for a hundred years is quite clearly ridiculous.
I agree, but there were a number on here that deemed him out of position at Lwb and wanted to see him in his natural position which I assume they meant to be CM.
Well they are seeing him other than at LWB and if they think he's doing better other than at LWB then I think they're wrong. Even worse is that if he was at LWB then the team would be doing better. IMO.
Totally agree that we've sleepwalked straight into league 1. Poya did push us further up the field in the first half where we pressed and nicked the ball off them in good positions but then passed it sideways or backwards totally killing the advantage gained. I was really positive going in to this game and then Hull on Tuesday but we're just not potent enough to close a 9 point gap.
Trouble is fella, he gives us something to blame him for every time he plays. He's not good enough unfortunately.
That stat means nothing, all of our team weren't born 30 years ago never mind 98. We didn't lose today because we always lose at Coventry we lost because we didn't try to win.
The thing is we make mistakes every game. All teams do. If we were scoring most games it would be far less of a problem but today we never looked remotely like scoring. There is no movement up front an opposition defenders stop us walking the ball in We were fortunate against QPR in that we got away with a couple of mistakes and Quinta scored from outside the box. Today normal service resumed
We don't always lose at Coventry. We just don't win. And we lost because we made one horrible error. Anyway we must be left with our different opinions.
This is the most deflated I've felt this season. This is the sort of game WE should have been nicking in injury time, if we were going to make a fist of getting out of this. It's the hope that kills you; I foolishly let myself be encouraged by last week's win and inexplicably getting to within 5 points of safety. Today feels like the crucial swing, with our loss and Reading's win. Edit: My mood wasn't helped by Jason ******* Mohammad on Final Score. He said "Stand by Barnsley fans" as they were going over to the Ricoh to hear about the goal...which made me think we had scored.
Many piling in on Jasper Moon, but what about Callum Brittain today? He looked rusty and ineffective, his weakest performance in a long time. I know he's been out with injury but he looked nowhere near ready. Romal Palmer often disappoints with his inability to impose himself in midfield, and today was no exception. Quina and Vita tried to get involved, but the midfield today looked pretty weak, with Morris getting little service. All depressing stuff.
You said it - Anderson ‘got away with it’ but that’s not taking into account the players that were substituted when Moon came on. I’m just saying there’s a serious history here - look at the stats. They don’t lie!
