@Loko the Tyke, @Gally - is the date for the interview agreed yet? It's over a month now isn't it since the request was made?

Hi Mate. I told you in the private messages that we wouldn’t update through the BBS for reasons stated previously.

Also put an update in the Trust newsletter last week. No news so no update.

Sorry Ben, you did say you wouldn't post anything on here until it was confirmed. I just wondered if I'd missed something.

Please don't feel the need to respond to this, but I hoped and expected that Paul Conway and / or Chien Lee would respond promptly and find a way to meet with Trust representatives and answer questions. How mistaken I was, it appears they just don't care what fans think.

“On Barnsley, when you have six starters out with serious injuries and you have the third-lowest budget in a league full of ‘cheating’, it’s a problem,” says Conway. “But we will fight to the last match.”

How true Paul.. but also the appointment of two sub standard coaches in one season does not help.

I’m personally not sure how interested I am in this meeting any more. I just don’t see an outcome that fans will be satisfied with. Fair play for following it up though. I guess it’s probably got to happen.

Very true Paul but didn't you blow a massive chunk of that budget signing the three most expensive seriously injured ones when their agents got you drunk and pulled your pants down?

I’m sure he’s busy raising $75m for his SPAC.

Far better to talk about his success at OG Nice than draw attention to the failings of Barnsley FC.

I understand Marc and suspect you're right. I really want them to be held to account though, to explain their decisions and to clarify their future intentions and plans. And confirm whether they are willing to change anything to actually give us our club back. For me that's the key to determining whether my son and I renew our STs.

and that’s why the interview is pointless. Lots of promises and minimal action.

Spectemur agendo seems so very appropriate for the current situation

I agree mate. Spectemur Agendo is a Latin motto meaning "Let us be judged by our acts". Very appropriate indeed

To be honest why would Conway even bother with such a meeting? His popularity can't drop any lower and he isn't going to change his business methods for anybody!

Surprised you started a thread on it though given I'd already told you that privately?

Nothing missed. If you're on here, signed up to the e-mail newsletter, and connected on any social platforms, you'll find out as soon as we do pretty much. Some weeks we might be guilty of not chasing as much as others - life can come at you fast when you give up so many hours in a short space of time. I know I've definitely felt that in the last week or so.

Conway will never agree to a meeting with the ST tust and even if he did, questions would have to be submitted in advance.
It would be a complete and utterly shitshow and quite frankly nothing new would come from it. The 750k?! What 750k :D:D
Sorry but anyone expecting anything different is deluded!

Agree. But that's why I think we must keep pushing for it. I believe we should try to expose it.

It looks like the £750k, in terms of being lawful and agreed by all members of the board, was valid in that perspective. It appears Conway's stock answer on that one since August is going to be proven right in that it was agreed that the performance bonus payments could come from the club or the Hong Kong company. @Gally confirmed this a few days ago.

That doesn't mean we should agree with it, like it, or support it. But it makes the thinking around it slightly different (in my opinion).

I tend to agree, nobody will be happy with the outcome. I’ve started to not care about the ownership situation anymore. I’ll still go and support the lads on the field but the board situation has completely drained me, and I doff my cap to people who can still debate and give a **** about it.
