I'm not asking if you think we will, just if you think there's a chance and you're holding on to it? Performances recently have been better and the loan signings have been bang on the mark. 6 out of 9 points isn't shabby considering the first half of the season.
We've done it before. We still have Derby, Reading & Peterborough to play. I think a big part is whether or not our key players stay fit, instead of having niggly injuries which rule them out 2/3 games like we've had most of season
I was resigned to relegation a long long time ago. The best I hope for is that we put up enough of a fight to generate so momentum into next season.
We have a chance of staying up. All I ask is everyone gives 100% snd it might become a reality. Two weeks ago we were dead and buried and going down as the worst Championship team ever
We caht stay up with greedy snake oil salesman owners, such a negative inexperienced coach and league 2 standard players. We ve all given up ages ago, no point in supporting this lot. Ive voted b, its just possible and i have hope.
It's possible as is anything but it's not in our hands. We need 3 teams to perform worse than us, and going on the form table that isn't happening. Think the nail in the coffin is Reading's ability to score goals again.
I commented after the qpr game that the following game was massive but we were awful against cov' we're now in the same situation we must build on the buzz from tuesday and find some consistancy then you never know.
I realised we were down about October time but I still love to see us win & put in a performance which is enjoyable to watch , I have always been a rough with the smooth fan & this season has been rough but we will bounce back & hopefully lessons will be learnt & next season we give it a right go at getting back .
44 points will be enough. 8 wins and 6 more defeats and plenty more will we/ won't we? Yet . It's the draws that buum you over. However, as long as they're replacing defeats and not wins I'll take them.
Cardiff at home was the last chance saloon for me. However, It’s not a given that all of the current bottom 3 will go down. I think 1 team will get out of it, I really hope it isn’t WRDC for obvious reasons, it just might, might be us. In the meantime, I’m just hoping our level of performances against QPR and Hull can be more often for the remaining games.
I agree. The fixtures don't look as daunting now. Just Fulham at home makes me wince a bit. West Brom away doesn't fill me with dread like it did a few weeks ago. They might be routed in midtable by then.
Tomorrow's opponents scare the crap out of me. Mind you, we have a decent track record against them at Oakwell.
I think we're down. It's always conceivable we could survive with plenty of points to play for and we're in a very weak league (though sadly we've been the weakest) and likely to face one of the lowest points totals to stay up. But if I look at it a different way.... I'm not sure I think we deserve to stay up. We've been awful for most of the season with just about every game being deserving in a loss. And most of the reasoning has been our own decisions or lack of actions. If ever there was a season where you look at everything and think, we deserve relegation. I think this season is probably it. Not that I want that, of course. It would be somewhat pyrrhic punishment against the owners, but much much more damaging for the club, its employees and its fan base.
I’ve made the decision not to go to the Sheffield Utd game,The possibility of seeing Hecky, McBurnie and Hourihane celebrating as another nail goes in our coffin would be hard to take.
Well, at this stage of the season the league table certainly doesn’t lie (Derby apart) and as you say more disappointing as it is a weak league. However, it is times like these that hoping against hope is what you’re left with. I strongly suspect that Survival would be see seen as a case of being achieved despite of the owners not because of them.
Gone for C, and would have been D if Derby hadn't gone into administration and only been deducted the initial 9 points. The most frustrating thing is that we've brought this on ourselves, with stupid decisions in the summer. Absolutely no way this squad should be getting relegated in a poor league when Derby have been deducted 21 points and Reading 6 and both restricted on what signings they could make.
