Absolutely delighted again with performance and result, but it was tinged with anger at that ref. Don’t know the Boro foul count in the first half but for them to come out of that game with no bookings and the ones we got was unbelievable. The number of times he played on for our foul simply because we had possession but surrounded by Boro players and therefore we had no advantage. I know he didn’t stop the game for the foul on Bassi which allowed him to score our third, but he was only doing what he should’ve done. Terrible ref.
If he'd have blown for a foul on Bassi, then it was a red card. So clearly he wasn't going to give a free kick. Much like most of the game as it happens
Must have had a bet on Boro not to lose as o don't understand where 5 mins injury time came from either!
Rubbish, if he’d favoured Barnsley first half Boro would’ve had 3 or 4 bookings. The non- advantages he played were terrible reffing.
Couldn’t give their penalty any quicker if he tried. He wasn’t too bad in the first half but yeah, second half he was shocking.
I like the ref. No real issue with the penalty. He let the game flow playing lots of advantages to both teams instead of being stop start. He wasn't card happy and he only gave five minutes at the end when I expected more.
2 goals, 6 subs and multiple time wasting by Collins H. Surprise it wasn't more if I'm honest, especially as we were winning
But the subs came on at the same time so it was only twice, 2 mins tops. No stoppages for injuries at all.
Totally agreed H, but Collins wasted about 6 minutes alone though. Surprised the ref waited until 80 minutes to book him.
So you think that the number of fouls committed by Boro didn’t warrant a single yellow card then, yet we got ours, just wow. Lots of advantages, just because you have the ball it doesn’t mean you have an advantage. When you’re surrounded by opposing players and no where to go how the hell is it an advantage?
