Catterall has done magnificent so far. To pop to the back yard of the undisputed unbeaten champion and dominate him is some display.
Josh Taylor hasn’t looked at it from the first round. Can be a completely different pressure/energy in front of your own fans vs. being on the road. The expectation is a totally different feeling. He’s fought badly but take nothing away from Catterall. Nothing flashy but on the back foot and connecting regularly. Great punch for the knockdown.
It's rigged decisions like that which gives Boxing a bad name. Catterall should have won by a mile on the score cards.
That’s up there with worst decision I’ve ever seen!!!! Taylor ort to be ashamed of holding them belts aloft
Andre Ward, one of the best of all time, had Taylor by one round. I had the 113-112 card that Howard Foster had. Very poor fight but Catterall should have won - but he didn’t need to coast those last four rounds like he did.
Absolute Robbery the better work crisper shots were all catterall. Foster and lewis should have their judges licence revoked after that.
I’m genuinely gutted for Jack. I fell in love with this sport as a youth, and in the last 10 years probably overtook football for me. After a few dodgy scorecards over the years I questioned the way this sport was going. However, tonight, that is the worst I’ve seen, I don’t see how I will ever invest as much money and time in this ever again. I don’t get how anyone can see that as a close contest. Never mind Taylor winning it! scandalous!
I would have said that was being favourable to Taylor. I had Catterall winning at least 7 of the first 8 which is the point where Taylor got going. Even the promoter is embarrassed. Even a knock down early and the last 4 that weren’t one sided.
Does anybody think that if this fight were not held in Glasgow, that Taylor would have won? I've seen this before over the years - the champion at home gets a 5 round start. Poor lad tonight, is Catterall. This sport generally tends to stink more than most.
