Russia invades Ukraine

In all honesty I'm not sure that Nato can at the moment, Russia has a huge airforce, albeit some is rather old, Nato fighters would be operating a long way from their bases over a hotbed of Anti Aircraft sites, I could see huge air battles but no guarantee of a no fly zone.
The worst case is if Nato, god forbid, happened to lose that battle, Poland, Hungary and Romania could suddenly be open to attack.

Well, I'd hazard a guess that reputable, award winning news outlets, and known experts are a more reliable source of information than ASBMilitary news on twitter and fu cking telegram that is clearly a Russian sock puppet, shared by bots and trolls.

UN troops don’t exist as a “thing”. UN peacekeepers whilst predominantly military can ge a civilian force too

countries can donate troops to the UN if they make a request. Being part of the UN makes you liable however you’d be surprised at the countries who cough up the most

Often countries who hold an interest in a particular place may be more willing to offer than those who don’t.

Agreed. Needs fecking off the site permanently. I'm all for a good debate or argument but stating that Putin is a good guy when he's murdering children is beyond reprehensible

 

A lot of people assume he is trolling, and I would too if I didn't personally know someone who is very similar (and even more extreme - he thinks the world is flat).

You wouldn't believe how easily and how far the gullible can be misled by social media platforms which can be exploited to lead them down a spiralling rabbit hole of conspiracies.

Not that it makes his posts any more acceptable, of course.
