I think in every sport you have those with a natural flair and those who get there by hard work and practice. David Gower and David Byas in cricket as two with natural talent but that never seemed to have to try that hard
I always thought it was snooker, but I've never played golf. When debating this with friends, any who had played both golf and snooker were unanimous that golf was harder, mainly due to the fact that you have to take the elements into account as well as everything else.
Hmm, I wouldn't fancy my chances of clearing many hurdles, nor would I be confident of being able to throw a javelin further than five metres. And I'd probably kill myself in the attempt. I also suspect I'd end up in hospital if I ever attempted the pole vault.
This is my standard Darts - I once got 2 x 180s on the bounce - never had one before or since Golf - Currently 18 HC - Used to play off of 12 Snooker - 67 Highest Break on a Full Sized Table anyway Cricket - Once got Joe Root out but I don't like to go on about it. Tennis - Absolutely dogger at it Table Tennis - I thought I was good (I used to win comps as a kid) until I played a Chinese player in Australia. Football - released by BFC aged 18. Played Local shiz afterwards although played professionally in Australia Horse Riding - We own 2 horses. I have zero intention of ever getting on any of them.
Pool in Spain with those huge pool balls on dodgy tables with a slant. White ball like a magnet to pockets
Theres only ONE answer to this; Table Tennis. and if you don't believe me, come and try it; www.barnsleytabletennisclub.co.uk I dare any of you...
biggest claim to fame, golf beating a former world number one shooting 4 under against his 2 under. Admittedly he was in his sixties. Totally agree on the table tennis one. Thought i was decent until I played someone decent.
Bit harsh that mate, anyone that makes competitive maximums and nearly 400 centuries is clearly talented. He was a true master of the dark arts of slow play though.
Used to play table tennis as a youth, my best mates older brother who was a couple of years older was ranked second in country at time. Fast forward 10 years or so and we was on holiday and kept pestering him to play as thought I’d still have it at first he refused saying wouldn’t be fair on me, then gave in and absolutely butchered me.
Golf for me. My view is if i play the same shot ten times at Snooker generally it will go where I want it to, Golf though the ball will go in 10 different directions.
Most sports are harder than football. Football is a piece of cake until the moment you score and have to perform some kind of goal celebration. Then it gets tricky.
No yiud have thought so but I did just that on a holiday in Costa Rica , never been near a horse before , got on , in 30 minutes I was galloping along a beach like I’d just jumped the last at Aintree and was heading for the finishing line , ok the horse was finishing like Crisp in 1973 with me on it’s back but I didn’t fall off.
Th Are why I love foitball, it is a simple game but played well is a thing of beauty. I love the fact that don't need special equipment to play and can play anywhere with as many people as you like.
