Ashbagi needs to go, no matter where we finish up next season. You can't set up as he does and expect to win matches. He could do with learning from our loanees on how to get the crowd going! I'll take it as a point gained though, purely for that sublime goal. Definitely one of the best I've seen for a long while!
If we could in any way get any of Quina, Bassi, Gomes and Vita next season I would be so so happy, they are all brilliant
Look at Stoke’s squad and compare it to ours. Look at their wage bill and compare it to ours. We gave it a decent go. But budget wise we are to quote Keith Hill: “Walking a tightrope with broken legs” Most of our fans just don’t want to admit it.
Squad, budget, blah blah. Completely irrelevant tonight. Asbaghi set them up to camp on the eighteen yard line with twenty minutes to go. Invited them on, had no outlet to get forward and essentially made it inevitable they’d keep battering the door and would likely get a chance. It was a piss poor clearance, and Devante Cole needs to take a long hard look at himself for that ‘effort’ on the edge of his own box on 95 minutes. But it stemmed from the abject negativity of a head coach who is so far out of his depth it is embarrassing. We played absolutely excellently against Boro - and we still very nearly didn’t win it due to his life draining ways. Tonight we played a team that might have three times our budget and a big squad but they were crap. We weren’t good tonight. But it was a game we still should have won having got our noses in front. Stoke didn’t have the quality to create that much. Asbaghi doesn’t appear to have any redeeming quality as a coach.
Stoke couldn't hit the proverbial barn door tonight, until we gave them 1 too many chances. They've been rubbish recently so that's no excuse for tonight 's result I'm afraid
Our team in league one will probably look unrecognisable to this season with all our loan players going back and any player who can make us money will be sold due to our chronic financial outlook.Think Kitching and Moon as our centre half partnership.
I’m not sure how it can be. but in spite of that had Cole showed a bit of backbone or their lad hit them where they had been for most of the game then we would have won.
Don't feel hard done by because we let in a late equaliser because it was daylight robbery we even took a point. Morris was our worst player. Quina wasn't far behind but his one moment of brilliance hides the rest of what he did. Our players aren't fit at all. What do our fitness team do with them during the week as they aren't earning their pay. We haven't done a 90 minute performance all season. First half we had 42% possession and didn't win a corner. Yet we still did our usual second half of looking knackered when the half has only just started.
I think that was the exception rather than the rule. For us and for most teams in this league. it’s like Luton. They’re looking great right now, but give it a few seasons and they are unlikely to be punching above their financial weight.
Nothing stuck for him tonight. His control wasn't there. His shooting ability wasn't there. They bullied him most of the night. I can't think of a match I have seen him on his arse so many times in for us. Stoke had his number.
I wish he’d stop bringing Cole on. We might aswell try finish the game with 10 men. I’m starting to feel sorry for the lad, he’s clearly well out of his depth playing football. The goal I just want him to put his foot through it, but after that they had a throw in deep in their own half, even Sunday league players know to box them in. No, not Cole, he just let them throw to their defender and him clear away putting us back under pressure. I’m fuming! We are desperate for Cauley to come back to this team. The managers substitutions today were a disgrace. He cannot excuse that.
I don’t get the negativity. Great second half of football. If I could watch our 4 loanees plus Morris every week I’d be happy. Oh and F’me what a stunning goal. Bring on Fulham, can’t wait.
Well if we’re 1 up with 10 mins to go then we can worry about it. Least on Saturday it will be 2 teams trying to play football.
I don’t think we will stay up but if we do he deserves to stay , he will have pulled off another miracle escape
