This might sound obvious but do you have a burglar alarm? May be worth investing if not. Been burgled twice when I was young, the second time I was in the car outside the house and saw the lads run off (my dad had told me to wait in the car, I was only 11 and didn't know why he said that, but he'd seen them through the dining room window). We got a burglar alarm and no issues again after that. We also changed the side window, which was easy to break into. You have my sympathy, it took me years to get over (one of them assaulted my dad so it was a physical threat too), and I still obsessively check that things are locked. I have a Garmin watch that I don't use any more, if you want it mate it's yours. Free of charge of course.
They dont usually seem to even try if there is no violence involved. Great that they may well have got them - assuming they got the right people of course
Wish I could get hold of the scum that did this to the wife's car yesterday evening. Got a shot of him doing it from the neighbour across the road's security camera but it's not clear enough to identify the tw@t.
Stolen goods long gone. Looks like I'm having to replace each item out of my own pocket. Can't have anything these days. They need their fingers chopping off
If you haven’t got insurance, that would be the first thing I’d look to get rather than cctv or an alarm. Have you thought of contacting your local crime prevention officer? They used to visit properties and advise how to make them more secure and less prone to break in. Id hope they still do that nowadays.
