The problem is more the substitutes rather than the substitutions. Halme or Hondermark were the alternatives I suppose. It is fair to say that any other sub would have struggled to be less effective than Benson - he played like somebody making their debut from the academy. I do think that Poya knows how to organise a team - we were very effective today in neutralising the best team in the league. With what we've got. Having regard to squad and injuries. But we inevitably run out of steam eventually. And need subs. But the cupboard is largely bare.
He's been struggling big time at the end of the last few matches I've seen him play in. It's a big worry!
Notice Collins keeps going down too. We have a half decent first eleven....and thats yer lot. Morris is absolutely massive for this team....he has attributes no other player hss.
I really felt for Morris today. After all that hard work, he looked so frustrated when Fulham equalised.
But at least he was there, where were the people who were supposed to picking up the other 2 and it wasn't coles man? I get that once there he could have done better, but he's a centre forward not a centre back, and the amount of times actual defenders have done similar, as that's the instructions given. Not that I agree with it.
I feel like I’ve been posting this message for months and getting absolute pelters in return. Even when the OP has been overly aggressive towards our current plight, no recognition has been given to the ability of our squad overall. It’s been the case all season and a massively contributing factor to where and why we find ourselves in the situation we do.
