A nasty ******* to play in midfield to complement the two we did sign in January we would be at least four points better off now. Wolfe did a good job but he as no back up.

We’re definitely short in that area but not sure who we could have signed on our budget to play second fiddle to Wolfe.

Thankfully, Wolfe only gets better from here on in and he’ll learn how to play a game without being on a yellow card.

Think he’s a long way from being the finished article obviously but he’s well on the way .
Talking of yellow cards etc it’s been a thing with me for years and when I got home I saw bits of the forest game .
How the fek can players not learn to pressurise defenders .
With their backs to safety send nowhere to go and fall from the slightest of touches from an obliging attacker experienced or not .
It infuriates me the fek .
I used to blame the refs but why oh why time after time game after game has no player realised this it’s fekin stupid .

Can't recall anything Wolfe did. I'd forgotten he was playing until he was subbed off.

The position he plays, when folk can say that it usually means they’ve had a good game.

Not the most glamorous role to play in a side, Wolfe does it well. I’m a fan of this lad.

Were you at the game or watching via a stream?

Probably the best endorsement you could give him.

Wofle was brilliant today. So, so much better than our other options currently.

Really? I thought he was very good.

Although his yellow card you could see coming from a mile off.

He did OK but needs to sort his head out because his discipline is shot. When he sloppily lost the ball, got annoyed and did a wreckless challenge for his booking there was no need for it.

I thought Wolfe struggled at the start, but after his booking, he came into the game a lot more and broke up a lot of Fulham’s play. He did struggle with the final pass at times though, the overhit pass to Quina for example which could’ve put him in on goal.

Halme should be his replacement if he has to go off. We’ve seen enough of Benson and Palmer in that midfield two to show that they don’t work there.

Hopefully on Tuesday, Styles will be on the bench and can come on for Bassi to keep the pressing energy up, and if Morris has to come off, Marsh is probably the best option available.

He was great today, and considering the opposition I'd say that's some achievement for the lad. Once he gets his recklessness under control he'll be superb.

Well I bow to anyone claiming superior knowledge of football. All I'm saying is I watched the game on Sky (where the overall view is better than being in the ground) and I saw nothing of note that he did. Not saying he played badly, because he didn't seem involved enough for that. I thought the defence played well, and Bassi, Quina and especially Morris made very good contributions. But everyone will have their own views. An enjoyable match, although a result neither Barnsley or Fulham will be satisfied with. #Orsenminorityreport.

Does the dirty work that allows quina, bassi and vita to get on the ball. Yellow cards are an occupational hazard in that role, although he was undoubtedly trying to make up for getting caught on the ball. I think most people watching understand how important a role it is and the upturn in results is testament to that but there'll always be a few that just don't get it.

I can recall that he dallied on the ball for ages on one occasion, was dispossessed and then, obviously angry with himself for losing the ball, made a stupid challenge, which was quite rightly punished with a yellow card.

Aye - But atleast he got a little angry with himself and chased back and actually put the tackle in. I know a couple of midfielders who wouldnt even be ar$ed to track back, let alone commit to a tackle. God forbid...:D

I don't think the TV view is better than that from my seat above the halfway line at the top of East Upper.

Good view for sure, but you don't have replays or rewind facility.

Agreed. His challenge was unwise, but it at least showed he cared. I have seen similar reactions from Mowatt and Hammill on the rare occasions on which they were caught in possession.
