2 years in, after mixing with thousands everyday, Covid finally got me. Started feelin crappy on Fri, aches, shivers, head cold but tested negative, today I'm positive, but tbh it's just like a cold fortunately, but works policy is still minimum 5 days isolation until a negative, so heyho, feet up.........
Aye, I managed to avoid it till January when my youngest picked it up at school. It was like a 2 day hangover for me but I'm conscious that by the time I picked it up it was a far weaker virus than the one that sent us into lockdown and I was triple jabbed.
Yes, not intentionally making light of it for others in any way, I'm triple jabbed too. I am aware of a lot of people catching a mild variant now tho, hardly heard of anyone within my sphere, when it was more severe. Perhaps the relaxation of mask wearing coupled with most folks immune systems being reduced due to wearing them for ages. Just a thought/opinion......don't ask me to support it with a medical study
We're the same, we've been very careful since it started as my missus is a long term cancer sufferer, haven't been to a match since December, but had decided to go again yesterday. Last Sunday we had lunch at our son and his partner's, the day after he felt rough... on Wednesday my missus and his partner both felt unwell and all tested positive. The only thing I don't get is I'm a lifetime disease magnet... if it's there I get it, amazingly I'm still testing negative. Fortunately it's no more than a heavy cold. Thank god for the vaccines.
Just this minute tested positive myself. Wife too. Mine's down to too many cuddles with granddaughter when we picked her up from infants' school Thursday - she tested positive on Friday. Looks like it's Ifollow for me on Tuesday.
