I saw Matty Wolfe with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking up Sheffield Road in the rain
He was looking for a place called Peking Chef
Gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein

You would think wouldn't impact what we would offer a player like Wolfe too much......... he can't be on much now and the increase we would offer him after a few good first team performances wouldn't be crazy......surely? Despite all the rave reviews (which are merited), we would still be very much rewarding potential.

Whether it was a swipe or an attempted block, he went in very hard. In my opinion, it would’ve been another needless booking for him.

I do love everything else about his game though. Hopefully we’ve got a contract already agreed with him.

I’m not sure. They weren’t necessarily in a dangerous part of the pitch and we had men over.

It wasn’t dangerous though is my point as he wasn’t playing the man. He was playing the pass and was miles away. That’s my point.

Just feels harsh to be saying he needs to be careful when it was a million miles away from being a foul as he essentially slide in to thin air to try and anticipate the ball that was played through.

He's learning all the time. On Saturday following the yellow he stayed on his feet, not giving the ref the chance to give another yellow, unlike at Derby.

Last night was an obvious attempt to stop Bristol breaking. They're were a few other occasions when other players should have done the same. Too many times in screaming "don't let him past" and a foul is needed but they just let the opposition waltz away.
To suggest it would have been red is ridiculous. It was an attempt to prevent a breakaway, simple as that. If Bristol had scored the same people would be asking why he wasn't cleaned out when the opportunity was there. Another great performance from the young lad. Maturity beyond his years. Out on his feet after 70 but kept on to avoid the mistake of Saturday. Think him and gomes have dominated midfield in most of the games they've played together in, Derby bring the obvious exception.

I do not know where you sit but from my seat behind the dug outs it was clearly a dangerous challenge & was not a million miles away , we all love the lad & we are a better side with him in but he is one bad tackle away from a red card , against both Stoke & Fulham him getting early bookings resulted in his game being effected , its an experience thing for me & has he gets more games under his belt experience will dictate more self control ., just hope our suits are sorting him out with a decent contract , we do not want to lose him.

Just sing the song as is. Though I can't see the timing sticking on the multiple "do-do" sections!

Physically, he reminds me a lot of John Stones. He could well go on to have a similar career if he’s looked after. Getting him signed up is a must, and soon, before we lose him. He will go for big money in a year or two.

I had the benefit of the TV and wasn’t nervous when it happened nor when I saw the replay.

Derby was especially dicey and lacked maturity, but all he did at Fulham was get booked. Nothing naive about that performance just because he got a yellow card.

They were both rash bookings that effected his game for the rest of both matches but he is young & it is a learning process but he was very fortunate last night that he did not land both himself & then the team in trouble .

I don't know if it's gone unnoticed but the ref went over to him a little afterwards and had a word with him. Nice touch from the ref.

We'll agree to disagree. He's not fortunate if he got nowhere near the man - that's showing experience and that he's learning by being committed but not conceding a bad foul.

Fortunate would be catching the player and not getting a booking.
