Cracking ride. It had a 100% record for a reason.

Since my fabulous first day, I've not got a bean.

How do you become a bookie? :D

    Just checked my bet365 account.
40/1 winner in the last. I’m finally up for the week.

Managed 3 out of 7 on both day one and two.

Today just the one (should have been 2 had that one didn't fall at last fence)

As it stands, I'm up, and using the "up" will cover tomorrow bets.

So, guaranteed I'll get nowt and wasted all that time and effort and be even at the end.

Still, it's provided some good entertainment

Coral are paying 4 places. So backing 4 in Gold Cup. Galvin win. Chantry House e/w, Tornado Flyer e/w and Al Boum Photo e/w.

Very open race, Mr D. Looks like there won't be much work done at your place today! (There's the cricket from 2.00 pm an' all!)

Blank day with my three yesterday. Today I'm with:

    1.30 Vauban
    4.10 Bob and Co
    5.30 Langer Dan

In the Gold Cup I just prefer A Plus Tard, but with Galvin, Minella Indo, Chantry House and Proyektorat all having credible chances, it's a no-bet race for me. Just watch and enjoy!

    There's a few I like today.

Colonel Mustard in the County - finished behind Jonbon at Ascot, and Sir Gerhard and Three Stripe Life at the DRF, all those franked the form already this week. Helped myself to 10s on Wednesday evening - he's now 13/2.

Shantreusse in the AB - followed the same path as Minella Indo who won this the other year. HDB seems to be in better form now, and the stamina test should suit.

Gold Cup is fascinating. About 7 with chances. I've played Al Boum Photo - as with it being so open, I think 14s about the two time previous winner is superb value. Maybe younger legs will find him out, but he's not exactly been over raced in his career!

And if Langer Dan doesn't win the last, then I'll stand for egg under the hat.

I’ve gone full tilt Gordon Elliott today. I hope his Festival picks up as it’s not been a memorable one so far.

Given I'm up 45 quid on the week (from £1 stakes cos I'm tight) I've only backed a couple.
Dr Parnassus e/w in the 1:30
Good Time Jonny in the 2:50
Protektorat in the Gold Cup and
    Langer Dan in the last.

    And away from Chelters.....

    2.00 Doncaster Douglas Talking
3.05 Fakenham Highway One O Three

Double pays just short of 3/1.

Also, Harry Cobden goes to Doncaster for three, but they don't look to have obvious chances.

Would I be right in thinking Nicholls has only one runner at Cheltenham today? That's unheard of in modern times. Is that because he doesn't have as good a string this year?

Yep, and that's in the Foxhunters' (4.10). Owner/rider David Maxwell had three with Nicholls entered in the race and Bob and Co is the chosen one (targeted at the race). Nicholls has a shedload at Kempton tomorrow - a meeting he usually attacks. He hasn't really had the superstars for the Festival this year, and took his Bravemansgame out on Wednesday when he got mardy-arsed about the going!

He was shot down by Nicky Henderson basically saying the watering doesn't make any difference if it's going to p 1ss it down all day. Which I found a tad amusing.

3rd, 4th and 5th in the 1:30 when they were only paying out 1,2,3. :(
