    My mate got crabs from his brother. His brother had the top bunk and they ended up with an infestation.

    i believe it was one of the first purpose built airfields for the rfc ( upavon may have been the 1st)

    I was being facetious - I know a bit of the military history of the area. I had three Salisbury Plain postings in quick succession - Old Sarum, Upavon and Boscombe Down. Great days and a terrific education spending so much time with all four arms of our Services as well as all the other NATO countries who sent officers to JWE for warfare training.
    1975-1986 - easily the best of my RAF years.
