After the goal, which I must admit came as a bit of a surprise, we did absolutely naff all of any use. OK, we defended well, but into the 2nd half you could see that we had no clue what to do when it came to pushing forward. The number of times we gave the ball away was indefensible, we got ourselves into such bother by sheer sloppiness and then resorted to silly, niggly fouls. This has to be one of the, if not the, worst performances I have seen this season. If you look at how we offered the game to Reading especially in the 2nd half then it is no wonder at all that we are where we are. We were poor, we were very, very poor. We are poor. It's such a shame that a player supposedly as good as Quina chose today to be awful. Sorry lad, but that was awful. Have a look at yourself and tell me what went wrong. Why try to be clever and then give the ball to the opposition, time after time after time? I don't know what the possession stats were but it wouldn't surprise me if it was 80 % to Reading. I don't think we would have even deserved the remaining 20%. Are we down? Based on that today, yes most certainly.
Agree with every word. I’d also ask Bassi the same as he was truly awful. Whole performance was powderpuff, outthought and outfought by a Paul Ince side. That says it all.
At least we've got someone to blame which is always helpful not. I loved his cross in the last minute that could have won the game. Defending in our own half is clearly not Morris, Bassi and Quinas strength.
Yeah I think that's us finished now unfortunately. If we'd had this team for the whole season we'd have survived, but they left it far too late. A couple of great loanees have nearly rescued us but the damage was done last summer.
Poya has turned 2 inventive players when they first came, Quinna and Bassi, into just keep possession merchants even if it means going backwards. We got to play out from back in first haif though like the big boys in the Prem, if you call going sideways for someone other than Collins to clog it up field.
