Couldn’t anything be set up in the academy on a match day? Would it hurt to have a few people stood on Astro turf . Fev lions exclusively streamed the Fev Rovers v Catalan challenge cup game last week and used training barn as well as bar. I know the academy is obviously of higher quality but the club could make a lot of money out of it on a match day with a bar, a few can bars, a bit of seating and a couple of quid in
I felt it all worked well, considering the two-year layoff. Obviously not as perfect as it's been in the past, and COVID scuppered the food offering for example. Based on capacity and takings etc, that all go to support Ukraine, it seemed a huge success. Thank you to all involved. Of course we'd all love a permanent structure, and for it to be the greatest FanZone in the history of FanZones. Just as I'd love a two tiered modern west stand, a new crest and to be collecting a 21 plate car today, not a 13 plate. But you can only do the best with what you've got!
They have a permanent structure. I think our FanZone is miles better personally in terms of access, space, entertainment and the offer - it just doesn’t have a roof and isn’t enclosed or warm.
Be realistic you can’t expect us to operate at the same level as giants of the world game like Accrington…
