Don’t want to spoil the general mood of negativity on here, but I just looked at the comparative fixtures and it wouldn’t surprise me if Reading didn’t take another point this season.
We won’t catch them. I think we’ll be closer than eight by the time May comes but won’t be enough. We’ve gone one win in us left and that’s it.
Did you expect them to get 4 points against Bournemouth and Blackburn? Ultimately that little purple patch of 8 points in 4 games has moved them clear of us, and to be fair, they should’ve beaten us last week. Also, they won’t need another point to stay above us.
We’ve one win in the last seven games and only won six all season do people seriously think we are capable of winning four of our last six games….jeez get real.
Not so sure about that. To take it to the last one or two games of the season, we’ll probably need six points over Easter. I think we’ll lose at Swansea, with a sit back game plan that plays into their hands and then draw against Peterborough, probably 1-1 after leading.
Reading are now on the beach. We, however, are slipping and sliding on the seaweed and the rocks of doom. Where's Grace Darling when you need her?
I think the issue with Reading is that with the 6 points they were deducted they’ve been 14 points better than us over the course of the season. The bad run they had also coincided with Lucas Joao been injured who’s now back available & scoring. I find it hard to see us catching them.
And it won't make any difference because if the Millwall capitulation is anything to go by Barnsley FCs players have given up even trying to stay up and the head coach sets the team up like he'd given up before he'd even started.
