Edit for anyone reading this thread for the first time: I’ll post free tickets for things I think people might be interested in in this thread rather than starting new ones. I’ll edit the thread title to say what the tickets are for each time. Original post: I know how much people on here love The Masked Singer There’s a seat filling company I’ve used loads of times who do free tickets for stuff to make it a sell out. I’ve been to all sorts from Opera to World’s Strongest Man. They’ve got free tickets for The Masked Singer with a £5 (per ticket) booking fee. The tickets to buy normally are £30.95-£39.50. The only rule is that when you are there you don’t mention that you got the tickets for ‘free’. You don’t know which seats you’ve got for any event until you’ve booked and for some events you’re sat next to people who’ve paid hundreds of pounds (it tends to be the expensive seats that haven’t sold that you get to fill, although there’s no guarantees of that). The link to book is here if anyone is interested, not sure how long they will be available for: https://www.weticketit.com/showfilmfirst/booking/Event/detail/JEX12509#faqs
My kids would love to go, but unfortunately I can't get them there at such short notice. If you wouldn't mind sharing the seat filling company I'll keep an eye out for future dates.
Here you go: https://showfilmfirst.info/ You can select the types of events you’re interested in when you sign up. I probably get invites to stuff at least twice a week, often more, as I just clicked everything and just ignore the events I don’t care about. In the last few weeks I’ve had invites to: York: Champions of Magic Leeds: The War of the Worlds musical York: BalletBoyz Liverpool: Test Match Special Live Leeds: Opera North Leeds: Less Than Jake - Ska gig Leeds: World Championship Boxing Leeds: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Halifax: Tony Hadley 40th Anniversary Tour Leeds: The Wanted The tickets are always free but the booking fee is normally between £2.50 and a fiver per ticket. They’re always short notice though as it’s to fill whatever seats they’ve got left.
So I assume if you go with your partners or kids, there's a good chance you won't be seated together? I suppose that's alright just with your partner if it's something you enjoy!
After seeing the calibre of "celebrities" they have on the main show I can't wait to find out who they have for a Wednesday night in Leeds. It's going to be Ian Beale's barber, the toilet attendant who got battered by Cheryl Cole and a third Kemp brother who runs Spandau Valet car wash
No, you’d definitely be seated together as a group. Since Covid, you often get a code now that you use to book your own seats on the event’s webpage. Previously, you turned up to the box office, gave your name, made sure you did NOT mention Show Film First and walked away with whatever tickets they gave and then discreetly checked them later. I’ve had ones worth hundreds of pounds in prime areas before, the hardest part is trying to not look over the moon about it. I’ve never had terrible seats to anything. Often, it’s not seated events anyway, like Harrogate Christmas Fair or Gin Festivals etc. Groups are never split though.
Wow. You really can't complain at stuff like this then. Easy distraction from real life, and for cheap as chips
I love how random the things they send me invites to are. I also never realised that places give away free tickets so that it doesn’t look empty but it makes sense. The sad thing is that we can’t go to most of them anymore because we can’t leave the dog for more than 3 hours as per Guide Dogs rules.
Thanks for this Jamdrop, I've registered with them to be considered for other stuff so fingers crossed.
I didn't know until a few months ago either, I was just under the impression it was people who worked with the project, staff members, family members of the cast etc. Never knew they were publicly sold for such a price!
Maybe send the details to the CEO I suspect he may have a problem filling seats at Oakwell next season. It could help to inflate the crowd figures in place of pretending all season ticket holders attend every game.
I’m going to this **** fest unfortunately. Free ticket with food and alcohol and I still don’t want to go. Ffs
