There were only around 50 people there so, as expected, you won't see lots of 'reviews' until people get the time or have the inclination.

I didn't go but did listen to the first couple of hours. Nothing new to report really, just more consistent answers from Khaled around the role the owners play in decision making, running the club, etc. Might have got more interesting after 9:30pm but I checked out at that point.

Tbf not a lot. The CEO said he had 99.9% autonomy so the buck stops with him. He's moving his family into the area and has enrolled his child into a local school.so looks like he's staying. Doesn't sound as though any of the owners are prepared to talk to the fans. Didn't really seem to understand why longterm season ticket holders were either not going to renew or considering not renewing. Didn't get the feeling that Poya would be sacked, as he said you can't keep replacing managers all the time. Didn't know the timetable or costs for rectifying the West stand , but said it wasn't much maybe £10 000. Said he's meeting council tomorrow, looking at extending lease.

One point of interest, the U23s are no longer a separate entity ( could be why their results seem to be dropping off?) so you have the U18s and some of the poorer U23s train together and then the better U23s and first team. ( I may not be entirely accurate on that as I didn't catch all of it)

His target is 11 000 season tickets for next season.

Not sure when it finished, I left just before 10pm.

This person on twitter has mentioned a couple of things. I’m not downbeat as a lot on here but I’m not sure how the future is bright (relating to another tweet they sent).

To be fair, saying that you can't keep changing managers all the time is valid. But even in that context there's still a strong case for getting rid.

That would be a worrying development with the u23s. Makes sense given the model we use, but unfortunately, the model we use doesn't make sense.

I think he he wants the club to sell 11,000 season tickets, he'll have to buy at least 4 or 5 thousand of them himself.

OH yes, open day 16th July, be a bit different to former open days. Celebrations planned for 135 years as well.

My target is financial security and retirement by tomorrow afternoon. I currently have 21p.

I don't think it's just that we're both going to miss the target, I think it's more a case that we can't find the keys to the car to drive to the target range that hasn't yet been built and has been denied planning permission.

Was he actually told, in no uncertain terms, what the feeling of the fans was? And did anyone point out to him that if he thinks we'll sell 11,000 season tickets he's utterly and completely deluded and not fit to be in post? if he doesn't actually think that why is he treating us like idiots. Again.

Is he for real? Can’t understand why folk aren’t renewing then basically admits Poya is likely staying, they guy hasn’t a clue, & it seems we’re stuck with him. Can’t be any worse than Conway right?

As for 11k!!! he’s living in dream world!
Looking forward to this time next season, see what crap he comes out with when we’ve just survived relegation to league 2 or worse!

He reminds me of a cross between the brilliant guy from The Fast Show, the captain of the Titanic and Seymour Skinner in that Simpsons episode where his house is on fire. While his good nature and positivity are to be admired, his inability to accurately assess the current situation, his lack of foresight for impending danger and his grandiose predictions of future success are beginning to get a bit scary.

My points were more Statements to pass on rather than questions. As in telling em.:-

why folk felt disconnected. ( In the fact that the owners Seem more interested in building a portfolio of clubs, instead of concentrating on just us)

Another fan present went on to speak about the court cases etc. But tbf I didn't think he would be able to comment on internal disputes as they may finish up in court. Rather than settling out of court.

The strategy failings. (Eg the loans situation and how it had turned 180° from what Paul Conway envisaged. And the need for experience. The club view experience from a different angle. Basing theirs on games played. rather than imo. age and proven track record at a certain level. )

And communications. ( which he admitted they fell short of and hoped to improve on.)

He stated categorically a move away from Oakwell was not an option. ( imo I always thought that was more a smokescreen due to internal wranglings.)

He said the buck stops with him re internal dealings of the club. (obviously given the remit from the owners)

Asked by someone did he envisage ever having to put the club into administration. 100% never (in a nutshell) came the reply,

Re the 11,000 season tickets. I might have missed that as the target. (But I wouldn't expect any CEO to say any different given they would hope to improve on that year on year.) It ain't/doesn't happen, When failure on the pitch to produce the goods happens. imo.
What he did say is He would like to see 16,000 filling the stands.

He came over quite well, even though we (the audience) took issue with some of the replies.

If it's one of his performance targets, he might want to delay his family's relocation.

Thank you. He's right in that you can't keep changing managers all the time, we have had two of the worst managers in recent memory in 9 months under his watch. But I really hope he goes for third time lucky, invests in a proper manager who knows about football. And then try and develop the team rather than aim for one successful season before flogging said manager just to put a few quid back in the pot. Sounds like we're keeping Poya though
