Oh no no no. Stefan Payne had no first touch or much skill. I think it's Craig Davies I'm thinking of. I really liked him in general and it was just that first touch that he was poor at. I keep thinking it could have been O'Grady but I'm leaning to davies

I think I still have nightmares of having strikers of the ilk of Stefan Payne, Barry Conlon, Dave Regis, Deniol Graham, Tony Rees etc I’m sure we’ve had plenty worse than Davies. He probably had all the potential in the world just never showed it consistently enough.
Birmingham away is the prime example

I have some strange affinity towards Conlon. No idea why

Fairly sure O’Grady’s first touch was excellent

Davies first touch was poor his game was decent other than that. Anyone remember liam dickinson? Jesus h christ possibly the worst footballer ive ever seen. Id rather have maceo righters upfront

The Luke Steele and Liam Dickinson ones are decent aswel, not much in the way of Barnsley content but a good listen nonetheless

One of the less interesting ones of this podcast TBH. I don't like the bloke.

Stick the Mark Crossley one on.

Craig Davies always appeared to be playing to find a new club to me, which it worked judging by his career, never realised we were his most appearances (in 1 stint)

Keith Treacy is a good listen, along with Gary Roberts, 2 examples of mental health & alcohol issues, quite sad.
Paddy Kenny & Jamie Hoyland is decent too, never liked Martin Allen but his is brilliant but if you can't quite nod off to sleep, pop the Iain Hume one on
