    Anyone with Now Broadband?

Our deal with our current provider EE ends tomorrow, and despite having a discount for being a mobile customer, it's going to be £10 more expensive than a comparable contract with Now.

I've been very happy with both my mobile and broadband coverage with EE, but with other costs rising, it makes sense to switch if I'm going to get the same service cheaper.

So does anyone have experience with Now Broadband? Cheers in advance.

Are you in a 5G area?

Just bought a 5G Router and Smarty (uses 3 network) and gone from 'full fibre' at 58meg download to 302meg on 5G!

And it works out cheaper in the long run, SIM is £20 a month.

I am only 128m from the 5G mast though, can't talk on speeds everywhere

Might be faster but I don't think 5g is as good as fixed line

Get onto the EE retention team. They'll do some deal.

Only put it in four days ago and so far I've had no trouble with it whatsoever. I was skeptical myself but the increase in speed has really won me over so far.

I'm getting more in the cabin at the end of the garden than I used to get on a wired connection next to fixed line Router!

I've been with them for a year. Sorted out a network issue well and be fine since. I usually switch for cashback through Quidco but haven't bothered this year as im getting the best service I've ever had.

Is that a mobile broadband sim, or are you just tethering to a mobile sim?

Just curious. Personally wouldn’t touch 3 again. Been $hite every time I’ve used em.

Just saw an add for SMARTY for £20 pcm for unlimited everything and got it intending to use it when my EE contract ran out in May. I've had 3 before and their signal is good where I like and work so wasn't fussed about that. I didn't even realise we got 5G signal. I very occasionally picked it up on EE but only outside and only for brief moments. It's only when I ran a speed test on my mobile that I realise how strong the 3 5G signal was.

I just bought a 5G router and stuck the sim in there. Speeds are pretty much identical on Hotspot from Phone (when testing) and on 5G router. I already have a mesh network set up though - though the 5G router I bought pretty much covers the whole house making my wonderfully expensive mesh set-up a little obsolete - I'll leave it in for stabilities sake though (and so I don't have to pre-program every device in the house with a new network and password).

Fair dos. If you’re using your mobile SIM for unlimited home broadband though, I reckon you might be getting a letter at some point regarding their ‘fair usage’ policy :)
