With virtually the same squad, you can only look at the managers. I'd argue some of the squad aren't good enough but 2 teams have had points deducted ffs the managers this season have been the worst of the worst, no excuses, whoever appointed them should also be sacked. The ownership will be losing a lot of money over the next 2 or 3 seasons, I've not renewed for first time in 10 years and I'm not the only one, West Stand closed, North Stand like a desert, future is bleak as fk.
No renewal for me either and I go back to the early sixties following the ups and downs. I’ve sat in M108 for the last time
No renewal from me either unless a takeover before the season starts. Its neglect what these owners have done time for a official boycott
Collectively the players are almost as much to blame for this season. Barely an ounce of fight between them. Styles, Woodrow, Palmer, Brittain, Helik, Andersen all played regularly last season and have all managed to go backwards in their development. We've hired two utterly appalling head coaches but they have to take some responsibility. 5th to being all but relegated with 4 games left when 2 teams have had points deductions. They should all be utterly, utterly ashamed.
I stopped going mid October. I felt that we looked like a relegation team and i felt the club were in a shambles. The results weren't that bad at that point. Haven't been since and wont renew. This ST was a waste but the real issue is the club is poorly run and i have no confidence in their leadership across all aspects of our club. While i get and admire people who keep on renewing i feel im being legged over. I dont suffer fools gladly and right now i cant support these owners.
Negligence. We only had to be better than one team, because 2 teams had deductions. To be worse than all of them is negligent, and embarrassing, especially given the position we were in last season. The people in charge should be nowhere near football.
No we didn't we had him for a small part of last season. He was great, granted, but it is still negligent to let the whole season collapse on the back of one temporary signing not being available to us. We've had the whole season to rectify it.
But as archerfield says above without Dike and Morris we had 37 points from 27 games hadn’t realised Conor Chaplin was that good or maybe the problem is something else
1.33 ppg compared to our current 0.71ppg. Last years ppg would see us around 16th. Safe from relegation and looking forward to another 12 months of Championship solidarity payments.
Not for a full.season we didnt. You could see the improvement under Val before Dike stepped off the plane.
Looks like be careful what you wish for then, amount of people on here moaning about watching big Vals tactics and wanting us to play passing football
I agree with you, but I think you're underplaying: Alex Mowatt being the best midfielder in the league Dike giving us an incredible boost as did Morris Covid & no fans 5 subs Us having a manager who didn't give a **** about valuation of players & just wanted to win
