Palmer....If you look at all his games this season then decide if your going to offer him a new contract surely the only answer has to be ...for God's sake no...

Started well - made the mistake for their goal. Did nothing.

How many mistakes in CM have led to goals this season? Those mistakes alone have pretty much sent us down.

Probably ok in league 1 though so maybe worth another year with an option of another year.

Yes, something to work on in division 3. 2 year contract, see what happens.

Maybe, but if he can’t be relied on to play 90 minutes then we need release him. We can’t keep going into games with players in the starting 11 that are certainties to need bringing off.

Strange to make the comparison that's all. Palmer did OK for me but Wolfe came on and did nothing wrong, didn't give the ball away and won all his aerial duels.....I don't know what you expect from a sub coming on immediately after a team shot to pieces goes 2 down but obviously a lot more than I do.

On the Palmer debate.... he earned his place and styles should have been nowhere near the team. Why the system from the Swansea game should be changed to the same as Millwall is bizarre. Almost like he had to confirm how bad it was against Millwall all over again. Got to drop styles and quina for me Friday. Both been very poor for a few games now, quina is living on that qpr goal.

He also had Alex Mowatt next to him. I’m not taking anything away from Palmer’s level last season but Mowatt must have been a contributing factor.

Completely agree all out midfielders would look better if we had bothered to get some experience of some kind in there. Another massive failure from the owners particularly in an area they are supposed to be concentrating on the development of young players. All the lads who looked good last season have regressed. It’s not a coincidence. They have been hung out to dry.

Just seen the extended highlights, and what annoyed me about Palmer was his response to losing the tackle that led to the first goal. He just stayed on all fours, as the ball broke into the space that he was crawling about in. That along with the mystery of where Gomes was at the time (and the less said about his attempt at stopping the second goal the better) meant that Brittain was dragged out of position to try and win the ball.

I like your thinking but most of those players are over 12 years old so we won’t be going for them.

Can’t understand how people keep saying he played well last year ,when we bypassed midfield

If Palmer could last 90 minutes I'd hope we re-signed. Not because he's played well this year, he hasn't, but I do believe he has potential. But he can't. I can't recall a game when he wasn't subbed an hour in or before. A football match lasts 90 minutes. If you can't last 90 minutes you can't call yourself a professional footballer because you literally cannot do the job. It's not that you're not very good at it, you cannot actually do it.

Would look at other options will get bullied at league one level and isn’t up to a physical battle now anyway.
