I know statistics aren’t everything but as a manager he’s had 594 games and has a win percentage of 44.8%. So he’s vastly experienced and promoted clubs out of league one, not sure what’s not to like?
That's what I'd look forward to most. A change from the monotone, generic, stereotypical, media monkey political answers we've endured so often.
Not Delaney or Hassell . That would be a disaster ! To sell tickets they need someone decent like Warnock ! Surely they will extend the early bird now ♂️
He never got any club promoted from any league in this country but that’s not the main reason I cringe at the mention of his name. He’s a sneering arrogant pig. If we are going for German then I’d go for Daniel Stendel. He’s won promotion from league one and not that long ago
It all depends on what style of football that we are going to play. The recruitment has to fit this, sadly whoever the coach is,won't have a say in who is brought in. This is how the club has been run for years, apart from last summer when Paul Conway went rogue and cost the Hong Kong investors up to £10m and counting. There hasn't been any disclosure that they are going to return to a traditional English way, despite calls to do so. The coach may be someone we know, I suspect not. It is the style of play that will dictate recruitment and retention, for next season. A boring post I know but the board seem to understand less and less about running a football club the longer they do it. When we went for "the pressing game",we recruited players and coaches using data to do this. The club was reasonably stable with some success. What the plan is now,I have no idea.
Disco as been part of the problem. In a tiny way obviously but he’s not the answer at all . The players need someone who’s going to change their focus and attitude .
Why are people still going on about Warnock when he's explicitly said he's retired? I want Roy Keane but can't see him wanting to come to league one or work under these owners. Likely it'll be someone from a 3rd division European club.
Tbf he’s “retired” before and in the most recent interview (radio Sheff) he didn’t exactly say he wouldn’t accept a job in the next season. I agree with your last sentence though. Maybe second division if we’re lucky.
