Hindsight is a marvellous thing. We had more than enough overs to bowl them out and that's where the problem lies.
id take issue it was a yawn. Both teams at times played excellent cricket over 4 days. Yesterdays decision looks bad on hindsight, I don’t think it was that bad to be fair, 2 goes at them, a new ball today, lots of spin options. Sometimes the other team deserves credit. the reason 4 day cricket is poorly attended hasn’t got anything to do with drawn games.
Strong squad despite for one reason or another missing Root, Cadmore, Balance, Bairstow, Willey, Fisher and Coad.
Cheers for that. Think that Kent are missing Joe Denly Sam Billings and Jackson Bird. And as a side note Darren Stevens will turn 46 years of age on Saturday.
They have a strong side too. Leaning will be pumped to captain at Headingley against where he started. Compton is averaging 116 this season which is low compared to 159 for Jack Brook Crawley will be trying to do his test prospects some good. Linde is a strong overseas player. Robinson is a talented bowler who will be looking to get back in the test side. Stevens is still achieving a lot despite his advancing years.
Not the same Ollie Robinson. This one is a wicket keeper/batsman. The one you refer to plays for Sussex mate.
Kadmore has concussion from the Pakistan T20 that won't go away. Ballance I think is struggling mentally from all the Rafiq stuff he was caught up in. Coad was in the first squad but was one of those missing out and since then I think has had a thigh injury.
Good start this morning against Kent with Rauf taking Compton’s and Crawley’s wickets cheaply. Looks a good toss to win. I see Broad and Anderson are in the wickets as well. Annoying that Root and Bairstow are not available to us
Its a shame, it looks like there will be no more Test Match Cricket for Broad and Anderson now that Ben Stokes has been named as captain.
