Yes you can. As long as you've scored as many 30 yarders at Wembley as Hammill and you're in.

Please attach videos of goals scored here:

Yet look like Sir Bobby Robson in terms of experience compared with Hammill and Devaney.

In some capacity I'd love to see him involved. Had an hour's chat with an ex-player last night who remembers when we had a Barnsley born owner, manager and captain. Passion and commitment over ability every time for me. Some of our greatest moments have come without been the most talented group but definitely the most galvanised group.

We've just got rid of a manager who has admitted he'd no intention of staying regardless of the division we're in. Then ex-players with dozens of years service because they love the club and town and have formed an affinity either through been Barnsley born or an adopted one from the loyalty and commitment they showed. We're the sort of town that loves that.

Overseas coach with experience at u23s: booo, not good enough, doesn't know the league, has no experience

Former player without any coaching experience: We need him here now!!

    I just don't get it.

Devaney might be good for the club, and might help build bridges between the fans and the board. He has at least got coaching experience, and has been around the club for a while. Adam Hammill has no coaching experience, and might not even have his coaching badges. Can we really afford to waste a wage on bringing someone in for nothing other than sentimental value, when what we need really is people who is going to get the best out of the limited squad we have.

Been a Barnsley fan or former Barnsley player isn't a qualification for the job. Nor should it ever be.

There are too many people ON AND OFF the pitch at the moment because people are friends with them and they are from Barnsley or Barnsley fans they get away with murder. If the club wants to improve they must all be weeded out.

Just seen Yorkshire get rid of loads of useless so and so's who only ever got the job because they were from Yorkshire. They almost destroyed the club. The NON Yorkshire Headcoach left the club as the best County team in the country.

My argument is Hammill could not be any worse than the last 2 idots we have had and he knows the club, the fans and whats more he knows the championship and league 1. Its a no brainer

Still a no from me. We don't have the financial luxury of carrying folk because of past links to the club.

I said I'd love to see him back in some capacity. Not particularly now...... If he has (which he has to be even considered anyway) the relevant badges on a coaching capacity. If not a role such as a match day host, the same as what Barry Murphy does.

It wasn't a comment to you it was in general. I just don't get it.

The only one I would ever slightly considers done miles more in Football than the names mentioned but that wouldn't be because of the hospital he was born at, or the club he supports.

John Stones said he would be interested in coaching. He would be the only one I would be slightly interested in. But because of the brain and been coached by Martinez Southgate and Guardiola
