I will have a pint of whatever you've had if you think the game tonight is something to look forward to
I'm over the relegation already and looking to the future. As I mentioned earlier we'll see the back of few spineless individuals in the close season so what's not to like?
Going tonight just to cheer on Disco really. No one deserves to make their managerial debut under the circumstances but I hope he gets the lads to put a good shift in for the fans.
That's what is happening though, isn't it? What would the alternative be? Leave Poya in until the replacement was found?
He's one of our own, He's one of our own, Martin Devaney is one of our own..................ad infinitum...............
He needs more than luck based on tonight. He's been at the club all season but thinks we should play with them tactics? What was he thinking? Some doing that the worst we've played all season is the only game he's been in charge of. The game plan looked just like Poya was still in charge. He had a chance to fresh things up and try something different but didn't.
Worse we've played in 2022. Blackpool play 433. so Mastermind Martin played a 352. I'd say I'm amazed, but I'm really not.
Because a 352 has never beaten a 433? Doesn’t matter what formation is played. The squad is a busted flush. Klopp and Guardiola combined wouldn’t get a result with this lot now.
I'd prefer someone with more experience and knowledge of the lower divisions and players together with links to the better young players in the big clubs than Martin to be next season's manager to be honest, the next Neil Critchley or Mutant (Steve Cooper). However, I am not going to judge his suitability or not on the basis of 1, or even 3, dead rubbers with this awful squad of players he's having to work with amidst this context of abject despondency. I wouldn't if we'd won 4-0 and I won't after that either.
We could have played 10-10-10 tonight and it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference. We don't have a player left with an ounce of confidence. They are all litterally shot to pieces.
Don't think you can blame Delaney for that, it's a toxic atmosphere of players desperate to leave, players shockingly low on confidence, a team already relegated just accepting L1, the owners are at fault for appointing Marcus Fucng Shopp then not sacking him when they shouldve to save face. The club is worthless now, League 1 and doesn't own the stadium. Get the next manager right or they'll be looking at huge balance sheet deficit and pure vile hatred from the fans.
Agree, MD has rightly focussed this week on trying to raise the level of individual players. At the end of the day we've played 3-5-2 for the last 2 seasons years give or take a few games so it wouldn't make much sense for him to tell everyone to play 4-4-2 especially given our two useful wide players have returned to their parent teams.
