After a resounding qualifying can Ash beat the Schopp curse of losing in the final.

Same rules again best forward you have seen playing for Barnsley.

Obviously you haven’t been going to Oakwell for long..

Robledo, Tommy Taylor, Cec McCormack, Jimmy Baxter, etc etc etc.

Taylor got knocked out. Not sure we have enough BBS Contributors who have seen the others play live.

If it wasn't for John Evans and Barrie Thomas in the late 60s/ early 70s Barnsley would have been a non League club

Trouble with these kind of polls. Depends on how long people have been going to Oakwell. Waste of time.

I'm disappointed Mido didn't make it into the final. Such a legend surely deserves recognition!

Trouble with these polls are people don't read the titles correctly...

Not fair Jimmy. Surely a space must be found for that fat lad who ‘ran’ on at the end. He went past 9 Blackpool players on that run. Not seen anything like it since McCourt v Boro.

Looking like a dream team front 2 of Ward and Currie unless Hendrie makes a surge.

Probably one of the best in recent times was Neil Shipperley.

I realise he got caught doing something he has been getting counselling for that was abhorrent. That said, he was a better striker / front man than all those 3 by a mile. Currie was decent first time round, but could only play ball over the top, not back to goal. Hendrie was superb promotion season, but spent afterwards. Ward is the only one I'd put up with Shipps, but did not have the footwork really. If Shipps is maybe rightly ruled out, (although as yet not be a court of law), TBH did Keith Chegwin play for us in the early 2000's & expose himself on national TV, whilst singing "Moon River" and holding a picture of Frank Sidebottom?

As Barnsley centre forwards go, I'd have to select 1) Ashley Ward, 2) Trevor Aylott, 3) Neil Shipperley.

So forward partnership in our all time best forwards is Ward and Hendrie.

    Will do midfield next week.
