I thought he put zero effort into that third goal.Should have been throwing his body at that Instead of ambling back !
The third goal was a disgrace and when they still gave him motm I assumed his mam was the sponsor today. Though to be fair he did look ok first half. But defensively it is probably easier to look superior when you’re playing with Jasper Moon.
Agree. Played well today - annoyed at the 3rd goal though. Was him keeping their player onside, and then just looked so flumsy trying to stop it going in back of net. Should have flung his body in the way as said on here. Other than that, thought he did well
Best of a very bad bunch. Won a lot of battles in the air. Ran out of steam but that's understandable.
Well, I'm astounded how differently others see the game to me. I thought Sraha was way off what's required of a professional. Yes, he won one or two headers and hoofed it clear. But he was turned far too many times, made mistakes, slashed wayward passes and should've got back to prevent the third. Unless it's at West Brom, he won't play in the Championship again. There's bags of potential in Marsh on the other hand and I liked the look of Helliwell in his brief showing.
Looked onside to me, I’d have to look again but I thought it was Sraha himself that had dropped too far behind the line. I’m in the family stand in the east upper and was roughly level with it, perhaps slightly behind. Either way he should have reacted more than he did. Walton gave him a proper roasting.
I think being in a defence alongside Kitching (who I blame for the second goal) and Moon who's had a bad season and Walton who can't buy a clean sheet he did well on his debut when you consider he couldn't play beside Helik, Andersen and Brittain with Collins behind him.
I always think that jumping to hasty conclusions about players it's not a wise thing to do. For example, Doug O'Kane of the Chronicle had a thing about Ethan Pinnock's lack of physical stature when he first got into our team. Seems to be doing OK doesn't he? But the all time classic was a friend saying to me, after we had lost 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday on the first day of the 1979/80 season "...that Glavin's a pig in a poke". I reminded him of this several times over the years
To be fair most of us weren’t impressed with Glavin on his debut. In general I worry more with players who get off to a flyer they tend to get worse.
Think he did enough to merit another start, I'd go with the sane team and see what lessons they've managed to learn in such a short time.
